He Came to Shake Up the World

Many people try to put Jesus in a box. They say Jesus was humility and love which is true, but he was also unconventional. He hung out with sinners, chastised the Pharisees (who were the religious rulers of the day), and got angry with the money grubbers taking advantage of churchgoers at the synagogue and tossed their tables and money to the ground. He came with a plan. The plan was not to live according to the culture of that time, but to start a movement. A movement back to God. "But when the Pharisees heard it (that Jesus had healed a demon possessed man who was blind and mute) they said, It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons." Matthew 12:24 KJV Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, "You brood of vipers! How can you speak good when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks!" Justice. Our world is in dire need of it today. Did you know that one of God's attributes is justice? Yes, God is loving and compassionate - extending grace and mercy to us. He is patient. But only for a time. The Bible tells us that a day is coming when God will judge the entire world for it's wickedness. God will pour out His wrath on an unsuspecting people. We are all guilty of sin and unworthy of heaven. But we can escape that wrath and be a part of God's kingdom by living for Christ. Christ paid the price for our sins and gives us a way to escape the wrath to come. If you don't know Christ, ask Him to save you. God's judgement is coming. "...for He cometh, for He cometh to judge the earth: He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth." When trouble comes, remember the One who saved you. Jesus Christ took the agony, punishment and torment of sin so we wouldn't have to. Will your life be perfect when you follow Christ?
