In a Million Years
ronradio1Inspired by words from Pastor Greg Cash, the songs challenges us to ponder the meaning of eternity. Our minds simply cannot fathom no end, but expressing this concept by using "a million years" helps to scratch the surface of eternal life. He Came to Shake Up the World
ronradio1Many people try to put Jesus in a box. They say Jesus was humility and love which is true, but he was also unconventional. He hung out with sinners, chastised the Pharisees (who were the religious rulers of the day), and got angry with the money grubbers taking advantage of churchgoers at the synagogue and tossed their tables and money to the ground. He came with a plan. The plan was not to live according to the culture of that time, but to start a movement. A movement back to God. "But when the Pharisees heard it (that Jesus had healed a demon possessed man who was blind and mute) they said, It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons." Matthew 12:24 KJV Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, "You brood of vipers! How can you speak good when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks!" When the Devil Gets His Due
ronradio1Justice. Our world is in dire need of it today. Did you know that one of God's attributes is justice? Yes, God is loving and compassionate - extending grace and mercy to us. He is patient. But only for a time. The Bible tells us that a day is coming when God will judge the entire world for it's wickedness. God will pour out His wrath on an unsuspecting people. We are all guilty of sin and unworthy of heaven. But we can escape that wrath and be a part of God's kingdom by living for Christ. Christ paid the price for our sins and gives us a way to escape the wrath to come. If you don't know Christ, ask Him to save you. God's judgement is coming. "...for He cometh, for He cometh to judge the earth: He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth." Silver Linings
ronradio1I wrote this song not long after my father passed away in 2022. It prompted me to reflect on my own life and understand the good and the bad - resulting in a humble and thankful view on the life I have been given so far. ronradio1When trouble comes, remember the One who saved you. Jesus Christ took the agony, punishment and torment of sin so we wouldn't have to. Will your life be perfect when you follow Christ? No. But you can rest assured that once this life is over, God will blot out your sins and give you the gift of eternal life in heaven. That alone should give us hope for the future. Just Give Me Jesus
ronradio1This song came to me right after I went to bed one evening. I had to write the lyrics quickly because I was tired but I didn't want to forget the song. Just Give Me Jesus is a very raw and simple song that I could relate to earlier in my life and even now as a reminder to focus on Christ and what He has done for us. He Rains Love
ronradio1I was staying in Florida when a friend was in the hospital. I was worried about him and praying. God knows what we're going through. And He's always there. No matter the outcome. I remembered this and started writing the lyrics to this song: Through the gale force winds Through rough seas He rains love To shelter me... In the midst of storms God always has your back. Believe it. "Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth." So God Did a Thing
ronradio1I really love the old hymns but I wanted to write something that sounded like today. I was thinking about all the things God has done for me in the past but the one most important thing was saving me. And the idea of God doing a thing started to come together. "So God Did a Thing" is fun, uplifting and I hope it helps you to notice the great things God has provided in your life.
