Jesus is the English name for Ιησους which comes from the Hebrew word Yeshua (ישׁוּעה) which means "salvation" and "YHWH (Jehovah) saves". There are some people in the OT called "Yeshua", but the word is usually translated "salvation". We're going to do a study of those instances.

Kevin and I will be examining the 7 points of Provisionism developed by Leighton Flowers as an official explanation of the "Traditional" Baptist soteriology that has always been held by the biblical church. It is a response to Calvinism and Arminianism and other heretical soteriologies. But it is not a new set of ideas, just a new package and name. Provisionism is a term devised by Leighton Flowers to describe the traditional theology on soteriology held by most Christians for most of the history of the church, in opposition to Calvinism and Arminianism.
