A Cook County judge has issued a restraining order preventing Dolton, Illinois Mayor Tiffany Henyard from making any new appointments without the approval of the village board. The decision came after a four-hour hearing in response to Henyard's controversial firing of the current village manager, Keith Freeman, and the appointment of a replacement without board approval. Additionally, the mayor's appointments for a new police chief and village attorney have been blocked. Henyard is also under investigation for mishandling village finances, with findings revealing a $3.65 million deficit in the Dolton Village General Fund. The FBI is involved, conducting its own investigation into activities at Dolton Village Hall. In little more than a year, a once-obscure South American street gang has taken hold in the Big Apple, exploiting the migrant crisis to build a violent criminal enterprise from within the walls of city shelters. Tren de Aragua, a Venezuela-bred crew of thugs, now terrorize Gotham with gun-toting, moped-riding hoods, sell illegal guns under the very noses of private shelter security guards, and run sleazy prostitution rings in neighborhoods suddenly besieged by the marauding migrants. The gang, which also peddles a lethal fentanyl mix called Tussi or “pink cocaine,” has grown so fast that it has so far overwhelmed both average New Yorkers and the city’s elite police force.

After serving 20 years in state prison for murder, former gangbanger Tyrone Muhammad never expected to return to the city’s tough South Side and find Venezuelan migrants and the criminal Tren de Aragua gang moving in. But Muhammad, 53, who’s gone straight and runs a street patrol and violence prevention program called Ex-Cons for Community and Social Change says Venezuelan criminal gangs flooding shelters and taking over apartment buildings are the last straw for the struggling African-American community. He says they are furious at seeing government money going to what they call “non-citizens.” “It is impossible to release gang members and criminals into our country through the borders and broken walls and infiltrate them in our community that’s already impoverished and broken,” Muhammad told The Post last week on the O Block, a stretch along South King Drive that’s considered the most dangerous in the city.
