In Iconium, they speak at the synagogue, resulting in many Jews and Gentiles believing in Jesus, but others oppose them, causing division in the city. They stay for a considerable time, performing miraculous signs. When they learn of a plot to stone them, they flee to Lystra and Derbe, continuing to preach the gospel. In Lystra, Paul heals a man lame from birth, leading the crowds to mistakenly believe Paul and Barnabas are gods, calling them Zeus and Hermes. Despite their efforts to correct this, some Jews from Antioch and Iconium incite the crowd against them, and Paul is stoned and left for dead. Miraculously, he survives and continues to Derbe with Barnabas, where they make many disciples. They then retrace their steps, strengthening and encouraging the new believers in each city, appointing elders for them, and finally returning to Antioch in Syria. They report all that God had done through them, especially how He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.

Acts - Chapter 15 Summary: Acts chapter 15 describes the Jerusalem Council, which addresses the critical issue of whether Gentile converts must follow the Mosaic law, particularly circumcision, to be saved. Some believers from Judea insist that Gentile Christians must be circumcised according to the custom of Moses. Paul and Barnabas strongly disagree, and the matter is brought to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem. After much debate, Peter speaks about how God chose him to bring the gospel to the Gentiles and how they received the Holy Spirit just as the Jews did, without the burden of the law. Upon arriving in Jerusalem, Paul is welcomed by the brethren and reports in detail what God has done among the Gentiles through his ministry. To appease concerns among Jewish believers about his teachings, Paul agrees to participate in a purification ritual at the temple. However, some Jews from Asia stir up the crowd against him, accusing him of teaching against the Jewish law and defiling the temple by bringing Gentiles into it. A riot ensues, and Paul is seized and beaten until Roman soldiers intervene and take him into custody. As Paul is being led away, he asks for and is granted permission to address the hostile crowd.

The next morning, more than forty Jews conspire to kill Paul and take an oath not to eat or drink until they succeed. Paul's nephew learns of the plot and informs the Roman commander, who arranges for Paul to be escorted by a large detachment of soldiers to Governor Felix in Caesarea to ensure his safety. The commander also writes a letter to Felix, outlining the situation and Paul's Roman citizenship. Paul arrives in Caesarea and is kept under guard in Herod's palace until his accusers arrive.

Following Paul's advice, the crew takes measures to lighten the ship and eventually, they run aground on the island of Malta. He heals many of the sick on the island, including the father of the chief official, Publius. After three months, they continue their journey and finally reach Rome. Paul is allowed to live under house arrest, where he continues to preach the gospel boldly and without hindrance to all who visit him. He meets with Jewish leaders in Rome, explaining the kingdom of God and persuading them about Jesus from the Law of Moses and the Prophets. Some believe, while others do not. The book of Acts ends with Paul proclaiming the gospel in Rome for two years, demonstrating the unstoppable nature of the message of Jesus Christ.
