Holocaust survivor asks EU parliament to aid peace in Middle East

The European Parliament on Thursday (January 25) commemorated 79 years since the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, with a solemn ceremony in the Brussels plenary. Addressing lawmakers, 86-year-old Warsaw ghetto survivor Irene Shashar called on lawmakers to "end anti-Semitism and achieve a lasting peace."
