New Protocol for ProtonVPN Released

DM 29-1: What is Redcore Linux, Anyway?
Redcore is based on that Linux branch that is probably least user friendly: Gentoo. Suffice it to say, you probably shouldn’t try it unless you are a masochistor an expert, but here is what is new:
KDE 5.25.5
KDE Gear 22.08.1
KDE Frameworks 5.98.0
Browser Updates for all major browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Vivaldi, and Edge)
LibreOffice 7.3.6
5.15 LTS Kernel
And Much More, of Course

Truth. Straight from the Bible. What does it mean?
No matter what is going on in your life or in the world around you, God has your back. He will help you through whatever it is, and has probably made the situation better for you already, even if you can’t see it right now. Tap into that strength. Step into that refuge by choosing to trust Him. Give Him the problems you’re seeing. Trust that He has it in hand already, and let Him handle it, His way. Do whrat He says to do, rather than what your flesh may be screaming to do.

DM 29-2: KaOS 2022.10 Released

The team behind this indie distro, inspired by Arch, has been hard at work. Here’s what you can expect:

Rolling Release
Latest KDE Stuff, as it is kind of the Arch realm’s answer to KDE Plasma
Calamares Updates to Make Installs Even More Painless
Using ZFS, XFS, or Ext4
Dracut vs mkinitcpio for boot automation
5.19.13 kernel
LibreOffice instead of Calligra

DM 29-3: Proton VPN has a new Protocol to Beat Censorship

Stealth VPN via obfuscation. How does it do this? A novel form of TLS tunneling to make your VPN connection look and behave like a normal internet connection, so that you get past your country’s attempts to block you from seeing certain information. Even though it is doing all of this extra stuff to protect you, it does not take a speed hit due to Proton’s VPN accelerator technology. Honestly, this article is a thinly veiled marketing fluff piece. The Feature is only available for Android, iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. Windows users should get it soon, but no mention of Linux. Come on, Proton. On the other hand, you can use it on the free tier if you wish. Nice touch.
