-30g Flour
-1 Tsp Baking Powder
-1 Tbsp (5g) @hersheys Cacao Powder
-1/2 Tbsp Stevia
-1 Scoops @vitalproteins Collagen Peptides
-1 Tbsp Cup Skim Milk
-1/2 @hersheys Nugget
-1/4 Tsp Vanilla Extract
-Pinch of salt
I N S T R U C T I O N S
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cacao powder, stevia, collagen protein, skim milk, vanilla extract & salt until smooth.
2. Chop Hershey’s nugget in half.
3. Spray oven safe bowl with 0 calorie cooking spray and add mix evenly (save a couple spoonfuls).
4. Press down half of Hershey’s nugget in bowl and cover with remaining mix.
5. Bake in the oven at 350 for 12 minutes.

31 and shredded 🔪
12 weeks of cutting complete. No contest prep, no real reason except I felt like getting to a lower bodyfat percentage and then maingain. Started the cut at 170 and now just shy of 160 (158 this morning). My training strategy really doesn’t change too drastically whether I’m cutting/bulking/whatever, which I think is important to maintain a consistent routine. When I’m cutting I’ll eat less and a greater percentage of my daily activity will come from HIIT cardio and less LISS (I aim for 10k steps a day no matter what) but that’s about it. Main fitness priority for me now is longevity. Basically my goal is to age like Tom Brady lol.

It seems fitting that on Super Bowl Sunday, when so much focus is always given to how both teams got to where they are now -playing for their shot at a championship and the chance to add their names to the history books- that I reflect on my own fitness journey to see where I got to where I am now; a physique transformation 10 years in the making.
I’ve talked before about how important it is to have perspective. When I got started, I just wanted to have some abs and some muscle. Eventually though, that wasn’t enough. Having just a “good” physique was no longer good enough for me anymore.
It’s easy to get discouraged with your progress, complacent with your results. Never forget to look back at where you started, what you wanted in the beginning. Often you’ll realize that who you were then would have killed to be who you are now.
Now go crack open a beer, grab some wings and enjoy the game 😎🍻🏈🏟️

Impressions Workout: Thor
Okay, so not technically a fitness influencer (although Chris Hemsworth does have that fitness app thing so I guess you could make an argument there), but aside from the gym and fitness, I’ve always been a huge movie nerd and a big Marvel fan. And I mean way before the MCU (shoutout if you remember Spiderman: The Animated Series from back in the day 🙌🏻).
Chris Hemsworth’s Thor has been one of my favorite characters to see developed in the MCU. It took awhile for them to develop him (when he was first introduced, I didn’t think the character worked because he was too one dimensional), but during Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War/Endgame, I thought they found the perfect balance of fun, goofy Thor and play-it-straight God of Thunder Thor.

Post-illness shredz 🦠🤢
Easing myself back into my normal workout regimen after I got hit with some stomach flu thing or whatever it was (sure as hell felt like a stomach flu 😓). It was bad enough that I had to do something I haven’t done in a long time, which was miss gym sessions and not be active active at all. And by not active, I mean like I was straight up on the couch eating chicken noodle soup and barely moving 🙃
No matter how fit & healthy you are, you’re still human and you’re going sick every once in awhile, so this is a friendly reminder to listen to your body, learn to recognize the difference between feeling tired from working out and feeling outright sick to know how far you can push yourself, and that missing a few days isn’t going to ruin your physique.

Proper RDL (Romanian Deadlift) Form
If you’re just starting out in the gym, you no doubt have exercises that done feel natural that you’re trying to master. Hands down the movement it took me the longest to learn to do correctly (without feeling like my lower back was going to split in half) is RDL’s (Romanian Deadlifts), and deadlifts in general. Here are some tips to do this exercise correctly and safely:
1️⃣ Stand with your feet shoulder width apart.
2️⃣ Keep your toes straight.
3️⃣ Keep your spine/neck neutral
4️⃣ Don’t think about it as bending over at the waist; rather, you’re moving your hips back, which naturally makes your body bend over, then driving them forward, which makes you stand upright.
4️⃣ Squeeze & contract glutes as you push through & come upright.
5️⃣ Don’t go down too low for the sake of going down too low. Go as low as you can while still being able to keep your spine/neck neutral.

Why did you start working out? Was it to get more girls? Was it because someone said you were fat? Was it because your family/significant other said you should?
There‘s two types of motivation: extrinsic (seeking validation from an external source) and intrinsic (fulfilling internal needs/goals). Basically, are you doing something for external motives, or internal motives?
When I started working out at 21 (I’m almost 32 now), there were lots of external factors. I wanted to impress girls. I wanted to impress my friends. But as time grew on, the desire to be fit became less and less about doing it for others. Now, I work out for me and me alone.
Outside forces come and go. The only constant is you.

If you want better gains STOP doing this ❌ #shorts
The short answer: lift slower, get more gains.
The long answer: if you go to the gym, you’ve no doubt seen the person who seems like they’re trying to set the world record for most reps completed in a single workout.
Don’t be that person.
When your body spends more time under tension, it helps stimulate the production of what’s called insulin like growth factor, which is a hormone that, just like the name suggests, has an anabolic (aka building) effect on your body. Like you see in this video, I try to do 3 seconds on my eccentric movement (bringing the weight down) before the concentric movement (pushing the weight up).
Bottom line, go slow and steady. Not only will you get better gains and results, you’ll reduce your chance of injury.

Strongest in the gym or most shredded? #shorts #fitness
Just by watching this video, you can probably guess where I stand on this 😂 but it’s basically the classic gym debate: would you rather be the strongest at your gym, or the most shredded?
Personally, unless you’re training for a powerlifting competition or something like that, I am of the firm opinion that it doesn’t matter how much you bench, it matters how much you *look like* you can bench. At this point, having a well proportioned, aesthetic physique is just more important to me then being able to impress someone when they ask me “yeah but how much u deadlift?”
Weight is all relative anyway. Being able to bench 225 for 15 reps is a lot less impressive if you weigh 208 than it is if you weight, say, 180. My advice? Don’t let yourself get sucked into the trap of “ego lifting.” Prioritize form and technique over hitting some arbitrary number on the squat rack.

Probably the most common reason people have for not being more active is time:
“I’d love to get shredded, but I don’t have the time.”
“I’ll go to the gym once I have more time.”
“I don’t have as much time as you to spend working out.”
The fact is you do have the time. What you don’t have is the willingness to allocate it.
Let’s say you work a normal 40 hour work week (8 hours a day, 5x a week) and sleep 8 hours a day. If truly think that in that remaining 8 hours Monday-Friday (16 on the weekends) that you can’t take 30 minutes to get some steps in, lift some weights, jump rope, whatever, you’re lying to yourself.
In the grand scheme of things, it’s true our time on this Earth is short. But we do have time. It’s up to you to figure out how to spend it.

Here are some tips to make any video more aesthetic:
1️⃣ Make it slower. Either shoot it in slow
motion or use an after effect because come on, slow motion looks cool af 😎
2️⃣ Make it darker. Again, just makes it look cooler (as an added bonus, you’ll look more jacked 🔱)
3️⃣ Set to the epic music. I learned as easily as middle school drama class that the importance of music in a video cannot be understated. Even if you don’t have the best camera money can buy, having an absolute banger playing can work wonders 🎧

Been cutting for about 10 weeks now (no competition or anything, really just for the hell of it) and I’m pretty pleased with the results. Down about 10lbs and the abs are much more defined and carved out than they were when I started 🔪
For those wondering about my diet, I don’t meal prep (got too burned out on it after years of doing it when I first started working out), so what I do now is flexible dieting aka IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros). I track my calories/macronutrients in MyFitnessPal and still eat all my favorite foods (if you swipe through and see the recipes I come up with, you’ll see what I mean 😂).
