Wandering kitty wants some milk
One morning, while we were on holiday in Greece, we got woken up by a meowing kitty in front of our door.
This cutie was a bit shy and reserved at first, but showed us it was a big softie as soon as we gave it some milk. (It was not a big fan of sausages.)
Once it filled its belly it wandered off into the neighbor's yard in search of some deep shade too cool off from the summer heat.
Best alarm clock ever!

Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church in Budapest
If you're a fan of neo-Gothic or neo-Romanesque architecture, you're going to love this. Built in 1902 by Frigyes Schulek, the Fisherman's Bastion (Halaszbastya) is a Gothic Revival masterpiece. The Bastion's terrace gives a stunning view of the Pest part of Budapest, along with all of the beautiful bridges on the Danube River.
If this architecture oeuvre d'art isn't beautiful enough, it is complimented by the Matthias Church just a few feet away. The pop of color on the church's roof tiles is what sets the whole building apart from the others surrounding it.
As you can see from the video, the terrace of the Bastion can also be used for weddings, and during our visit of this historical landmark, some lucky couple has decided to pledge their love right in front of the tourists. So sweet!

This grandiose piece of Gothic architecture is most noticeable for its colorful roof which stands out among the white marble of the Fisherman's Bastion.

Matthias Church is one of the finest churches in Budapest, and the most unique churches in Europe. Located atop the Buda Castle hill, it has been serving the citizens of the Buda Castle Hill since 1015, its foundation by the first Hungarian king. Bored with churches? Not this time.
Full of surprises, mysteries and treasures, the church has a breathtaking interior with colours inspired by orientalism and romantic historicism. Its mystically exotic atmosphere paired with its Neo-Gothic features differentiates it from any other church.
Matthias Church is unlike many of the typical churches dating back to the Middle Ages.
While the outside of Matthias Church offers the historical beauty of traditional Gothic churches with delicate turrets, the coloured tile roofs already give away that this church is not following the usual recipe: entering inside the church you will experience one of the most welcoming combinations of warm lights, shadows and colours with orange, brown, golden hewed frescos reaching from floor to ceiling, beautiful stain glass windows, far reaching arches, century old wooden pews, medieval remnants.
If you are a first time visitor in Budapest, you will see that this church is off the beaten path of church architecture. We think Matthias Church is a must see attraction in Budapest. The interior of Matthias Church is absolutely unique due to the elaborately detailed gilt walls. Despite being a Gothic Catholic church, the atmosphere is more mesmerizingly oriental and mystically exotic rather than the customary (Baroque or Renaissance) church interiors you would see in Europe. There are beautiful lights lingering in the church hall of Matthias Church.
