During the summer months, the park fills up, quickly, so get there early. If you are a rock climber, it’s one of the recreations allowed. The Tower is considered one of the best climbing areas in the country. The park is approximately 200 acres, so it’s a day trip to see everything. In this video we visit the Hoover Dam, Bordering Nevada and Arizona. The best vantage point to see the dam and the Black Canyon reservoir is from the walkway on the O’Callagham/Tillman Bridge. With the temperatures over 105F, we decided to visit late afternoon, early evening. There were few visitors, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The Hoover Dam is a great land mark, showing American Ingenuity and prowess.

Cathedral Valley Road, Capitol Reef National Park, UT
The drive through Cathedral Valley road takes all day. This is an improved dirt road, but the sand can get deep in areas. We started on the west side with the Upper Cathedral Valley Overlook, and continued to Gypsum Sinkhole, and on to the Temple of the Sun and Moon. This is an unbelievable drive, and worth spending the day taking it all in. We recommend at least an AWD vehicle so you can make it through the deeper sand in certain areas. The road turn on UT 24 in Mesa, only a few minutes from the east entrance of the park. We hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for watching.
