5 Minutes on Faith: 63 Day Countdown to National Election #120
Tuesday, September 3, 2024
Who are you yoking your vote to?
This is not just the issue of if you will vote, but how you vote. In 2012, the DNC announced that any mention of God had been removed from the party platform. Delegates, legislators, leaders and party members cheered. 12 years later we are reaping the fruit of the Democrat Party’s decision to remove God from their platform. We are reaping chaos, lawlessness, perversion, violence, injustice, corruption, hatred and death.
2 Cor 6:14 NLT “Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?”
As Christians, we must ask ourselves if we should be aligned, yoked or teamed up in any way with a political party that cast God out? It is our responsibility to vote in alignment with the Word of God and to courageously confront those who are not in alignment with the Word of God. When all the Christians get out and vote for biblical values the election will be too big to rig, and we will beat the margin of cheat.
Go out and vote!

5 Minutes on Faith: The Season for Superseding and Supplanting Part 2 #119
Friday, August 30, 2024
STAND FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS!
Jeremiah 9:3-5 NLT: “My people bend their tongues like bows
to shoot out lies. They refuse to stand up for the truth. They only go from bad to worse. They do not know me,” says the Lord. “Beware of your neighbor! Don’t even trust your brother!
For brother takes advantage of brother, and friend slanders friend. They all fool and defraud each other; no one tells the truth. With practiced tongues they tell lies; they wear themselves out with all their sinning.
Jeremiah 9:12-16” The LORD speaking: …Why has the land been so ruined that no one dares to travel through it? …This has happened because my people have abandoned my instructions; they have refused to obey what I said. Instead, they have stubbornly followed their own desires (the imagination of their own heart) …I will scatter them…I will chase them with a sword until I have destroyed them completely.”
Father God, we ask you to embolden us to stand for the truth and not bow down to the pressures of the enemy. May we never be ensnared by the lies and deception of wickedness. Fortify us LORD in this season. Make us hardened for battle and ready to declare the WORD OF THE LORD our righteousness! In Jesus name we pray! AMEN!

Honoring God with our Finances: Tithes and Offerings
Malachi, (God’s messenger) cried out the Jews in the days of Nehemiah 444 BC-425 BC
God reveals his love for the people despite their disobedience to his covenant law and confirms with his word that when the people return to God with sincerity in their hearts the blockages of divine blessings will be removed.
Malachi 3:6 -12 “For I am the LORD, I change not: …. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, Says the LORD of hosts…
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robed me.
But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
Ye are cursed with a curse; for ye have robed me, even this whole nation.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground: neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD Of hosts.”

Honoring God With Your Money: Tithe
Psalm 89:34 “My covenant I will not break nor alter the thing that has gone out of my lips.”
What is a TITHE? A TENTH PART OF ANYTHING
The Motivation for Tithing is Obedience
Tithe is a Divine connector to the blessing.
What blessing? The God given ability to attain things.
Genesis 1:28 “ And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth and subdue it:”
Fruitful: always producing
Multiply: always increasing
Replenish: fill and refill
Subdue: control your environment or it will control you
God gave the end result before the tithe was established.
Malachi 3:10-11 “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes….”

Honoring God With Your Money: First Fruits
Nehemiah Chapter 10: Nehemiah and the Jews completed the wall in 52 days, a remarkable feat despite all the distractions from the enemy. Chapters 7-9 addresses taking of the census and reestablishing the city and the Law of Moses among the people; confession of sin and a willing separation of the people to the law of God including honoring God with tithes and offerings.
.
Nehemiah 10:35 “…that they may bring the first fruits of our ground and the first fruits of all the fruit of every tree to the house of the LORD annually”
First Fruits: in Hebrew is Bikkurim: The promise to come.
Exodus 23:16: “Also you shall observe the Feast of the Harvest of the first fruits of your labors. Verse 19: You shall bring the choice first fruits of your soil into the house of the LORD your God. Verse 20-23: “Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared; …But if you truly obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries. For my angel will go before you and bring you in to the land…and I will completely destroy them.
Proverbs 3:9-10 “Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the first fruits of all your produce; so, your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats with new wine.”
Romans 11:16 “If the first piece of the dough is holy, the lump is also…

The Enemy’s Messaging and Assassination Plot
Chapter 6 Nehemiah finished the wall and was setting the gates to finalize the project. Sanballat and Geshem sent messages four times requesting a meeting with Nehemiah out and away from the wall. But they were planning to harm Nehemiah.
The fifth request came in a letter filled with lies that the Jews were planning to rebel and had appointed Nehemiah as their king…sound familiar to what we are hearing through the media today about Conservative Christians and President Trump?
Nehemiah 6:8-9 Nehemiah’s response “Then I sent a message saying, “ Such things you are saying have not been done, but you are inventing them in your own mind. “For all of them were trying to frighten us, thinking, “They will become discouraged with the work and it will not be done. But now O GOD, strengthen my hands.”
Yet another planned assassination attempt: Shemaiah: “Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple…for they are coming to kill you, and they are coming to kill you at night. But I said, “Should a man like me flee” And could one such as I go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.”
Then I perceived that surely God HAD NOT sent him, but he uttered his prophesy against me because Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him

Beware of Public Words and Private Actions!
Nehemiah 5: despite the great victory in Chapter 4 where the people are building the wall, with a sword in one hand and a trowel in the other, in Chapter 5 the people are in strife due to finances, because they are greatly oppressed by their fellow Jews with heavy taxation on their properties, famine and great inflation. Sound familiar?
Nehemiah is angry with the usury (excessive interest that was basically enslaving fellow Jews) and the lack of unity of the people.
As a great leader Nehemiah confronted the nobles and rulers directly, reminding them it was wrong to have Jews sold into slavery because they could not pay off high interest loans for basic life necessities.
Nehemiah 5:9 “AGAIN I SAID, “THE THING WHICH YOU ARE DOING IS NOT GOOD; SHOULD YOU NOT WALK IN THE FEAR OF OUR GOD BECAUSE OF THE REPROACH OF THE NATIONS, OUR ENEMIES?”
Nehemiah did not tax the people.
Nehemiah was generous: feeding 150 Jews and rulers at his table every day.
Nehemiah did not take more of the government provisions and sell them to the Jews for profit.
Nehemiah’s public words reflected the truth of his private actions.

Beware of Wolves in Sheep’s clothing
Just like the Sanballat attacked the Jews in their diligence to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem so shall America be attacked for the greatly anticipated rebuilding of our nation.
Nehemiah 4:4-5 “Hear O our God, how we are despised! Return their reproach on their own heads and give them up for plunder in a land of captivity. Do not forgive heir iniquity and let not their sin be blotted out before You, they have demoralized the builders.”
Nehemiah 4:9 “But we prayed to our God, and because of them we set up a guard against them day and night.”
Nehemiah 4:11 “Our enemies said, “They will not know or see until we come among them, kill them and put a stop to the work. “
Nehemiah 4:12 “When I saw their fear, I rose and spoke to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people: “Do not be afraid of them: remember the LORD who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives and your houses.”

Beware of Babbling Badgers
Nehemiah traveled to Jerusalem, with the king’s letters allowing him to pass through other countries.
Nehemiah 2:10 “When the Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite, officially heard about it, it was very displeasing to them that someone had come to seek the welfare of the sons of Israel.”
Nehemiah arrives and quietly, without notification to anyone, survey the wall and city.
Nehemiah 2: 12 “I did not tell anyone what my God was putting in my mind to do for Jerusalem.”
Nehemiah gathers the Jews:
Nehemiah 2:17-19 “ You see the bad situation we are in, that Jerusalem is desolate and its gates burned by fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem so that we will no longer be a reproach. I told them that the hand of God has been favorable to me… then they said, “Let us arise and build.” So, they put their hands to the good work.
But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official and Geshem the Arab heard it, they mocked us and despised us and said,” What is this thing you are doing?... So I answered them and said to them. “The God of heaven will give us success: therefore, we His servants will arise and build, but you have no portion, right or memorial in Jerusalem.”
“Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.” Winston Churchill Oct 29, 1941

It is time for the body of Christ to move from standing on the side lines of faith to walking boldly out on the front line in faith.

Romans 10:13 For everyone who calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.

Prayer for Realization
REALIZATION: the fact or moment of starting to understand a situation:
It is imperative that we personalize the word, so it is addressing our circumstance specifically.
Ephesians 3:16-20 NLT
16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower me with inner strength through his Spirit.
17 Then Christ will make his home in my heart as I trust in him. My roots will grow down into God’s love and keep me strong.
18 And may I have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.
19 May I experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then I will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within me, to accomplish infinitely more than I might ask or think.
Eph 1: 17-19 , Eph 3: 16-20, Psalm 91 the Prayer Trifecta
