East Yorkshire Magical Mystery Tour: Qi Gong at Ancient Monolith & Monuments
A peek at my local area's ancient monuments: Rudston Monolith, Danes Dyke and Skipsea Castle, which is really an ancient mound and earthwork. These are all within the Wold Newton Triangle, which is an area of mystery, a bit like Yorkshire's Bermuda Triangle, with more unexplained paranormal occurrences than average.
A note on what could be happening at Rudston Monolith energetically -- When a crystalline structure is compressed it creates a piezoelectric effect. The weight of the monolith on the chalk therefore creates a piezoelectric effect.
Check out my next video on Thornborough Henge and the Devil's Arrows (other earthworks and standing stones in Yorkshire) for further theories on what the ancients might have been doing with geomancy and divine masculine and feminine energies.
A note on my barefoot practice - in Qi Gong we often recommend to keep your shoes on in cold weather in order to keep cold energy from traveling up the legs into the kidneys. In the standing practice I was doing in this video, I ignored that advice for brief moments of time to be able to feel the earth energies and get energy from the ground.
I am working on my production quality - I know the sound wavers and the camera wobbles occasionally, but I am still happy I was able to record my impressions in real time in the midst of a busy life. Also you can hear my child interjecting, haha.
I'd encourage anyone in the vicinity of Yorkshire to visit these places as there is no entrance fee, no fancy car park, and nobody there. Feel the energy for yourself.
I teach Qi Gong and Meditation online; check my website www.daoanddharma.com for more information.

Conditioning, Belief and Epigenetic Codes
Here is a ramble on the nature of Belief and Conditioning. Because it's all one take, there are a few bloopers - I know the planets don't revolve around the Earth, and also Graham Hancock's television show was Fingerprints of the Gods, not Footsteps.
Anyway I hope you enjoy this and remember if it offends you, ask yourself why. Investigate deeper into your own conditioning.
My teacher I reference here was named Da Dennis Trisker. You can read more about his bio on my website, www.daoanddharma.com , or this article:

Choiceless Awareness, Spontaneous Joy
A short instruction on Choiceless Awareness practice. This is a term borrowed from Krishnamurti, as passed to me by my Dharma teacher Da Dennis Trisker.
Also some musings on joy and happiness.
I teach Meditation in 1:1 sessions online. See my website for more information, www.daoanddharma.com . You can also read more about my teachers including Dennis who taught me this technique, who studied with many great masters including Thich Nhat Hanh and Ramesh Balsekar.

Giving Up Control
Part 2 of a discussion on Choiceless Awareness practice. I begin with an exploration of the ego's desire to control.
An alternative is to give up control, and let the attention go where it wants.
Eventually you lose all interest in the mind, and the present moment reveals itself.
Part 1 of this talk is called Letting Go in Choiceless Awareness Practice.

Letting Go in Choiceless Awareness
In this practice we make a conscious effort to let go of the controller, and let the awareness dance where it wants.
You could also call it Dancing Awareness practice, but I prefer to use the term "Choiceless Awareness" borrowed by my teacher, Da Dennis Trisker, from Krishnamurti.
It's about dropping all resistance and just allowing, observing without judgment. You could also liken it to Zen sitting.
Whatever you call it, it's best practiced either out in nature, or with a seasoned guide and company of other practitioners. Both complement each other.
The video continues in Part 2, titled Giving Up Control.

Doing Nothing, Being Nobody
"So it's a practice of freedom: We are practicing freeing the mind from the need to do anything. And you may encounter a timeless state which is the exact opposite of boredom."
Seeing as it was a beautiful day and I felt terrific from teaching Qi Gong, I thought I'd take a moment to just be.
This is continuing in the tradition of my dharma teacher Da Dennis Trisker who offered his teachings freely to me. We spent a lot of time together doing nothing, and exploring the practice together. I miss the old fellow. You can read more about his life on my website.
