I've reconnected with my schoolmate after over 20 years and went inside his oasis; a small plant and tree nursery in Bingemma area, where he grows and sells all types of plants from indigenous ones like Maltese rock-centaury (Widnet il-Bahar) and the Sandarac Gum Tree (Sigra ta' l-Gharaghar) to fruit trees, herb plants and more. Then I kept trekking along side the stunning countryside encountering 2 small chapels towards Mtarfa and Rabat outskirts where I encounters some interesting fruit trees and solar panels in the valley. 👨 Feat. I went to Tal-Handaq area in Qormi throughout the countryside with planes passing over me every 5 minutes (makes it a plane spotting location) to go inside this Malta Shooting Range to meet up with Christopher Vella the Director of a relevant unknown sport of Pin Shooting. Set in a nestle place you'll know you're arrived at this shooting range in Malta with the popping sounds that welcomes you. I went to St. Paul's Bay, Malta most populated city towards Kennedy Grove (J.F. Kennedy Memorial) at the Salina National Park to meet up with Andrew Z Soler, a Maltese hypnotherapist that helps people through the art of hypnosis whom along with his client Elias, Andrew performed his hypnosis session in the park and we talked about the benefits and the myths of hypnosis, while catching Elias and my reaction. The Chapel of Wied Qannotta, commissioned by the Noble Garzia Monpalao in the early 16th century, stands as a significant religious and historical site. Originally dedicated to the Nativity of Our Lady, it reflected the deep Marian devotion of its time. In 1717, the chapel was rededicated to the Immaculate Conception, aligning with the growing veneration of this doctrine within the Catholic Church. Adjacent to the chapel is Palazzo Gerxija, a structure believed to date back to the 13th century. Located in the picturesque Wied Qannotta on the outskirts of Burmarrad, this abandoned palazzo exemplifies the historical significance of noble estates in rural Malta. Together, the chapel and the palazzo offer a glimpse into the region's rich history, from medieval times through to the early modern period. These landmarks not only serve as architectural treasures but also as cultural touchstones, preserving the legacy of Noble Garzia Monpalao and the early inhabitants of Palazzo Gerxija for future generations.
