I have conducted extensive research on this topic, learning from respected individuals who excel in achieving significant organic sales volumes. It is crucial to be specific and clear about your expertise and provide information on where to obtain your product. Having too many options can result in confusion and frustration, causing people to click away from your bio, ultimately leading to lost sales.

I’ve always been a strong believer in providing value first when you’re trying to build an audience online. But there comes a point, where you’re going to want to be able to make some sales from all of the effort that you’re putting into your organic content… So how do you optimize your social content to drive more sales? It really comes down to having a clear path for your audience to take. Here are a couple of my favorite strategies and best practices for optimizing (and hopefully monetizing) your organic content 💎

You need to start using this one super powerful word in your marketing. Why? BECAUSE your customers are more likely to take action if you do… All jokes aside, it’s difficult to overstate the effect that this one word can have on your marketing. In fact, the power of ‘Because’ is perfectly illustrated by a famous study that was conducted by Ellen Langer… And essentially what this study discovered is that using the word ‘because’ not only highly increases the likelihood of a person agreeing with what you’re asking them to do… But the reasoning that you give after the “Because” doesn’t really have a significant impact on that likelihood. Because people are more concerned with the fact that you HAVE a reason to make an ask of them than they are with what that reason is…

If you want to win on the Paid side of TikTok - You need to have a solid understanding of the organic side. I know a lot of people, especially in the marketing space, don't want to hear that… But it’s the truth. I’m not saying that you need to have a massive following in order to run profitable TikTok Ads. But I am saying that you need to stay in tune with what’s consistently going viral organically, so that you can leverage those assets in your ads.

While it may not have actually gone down exactly like this… This may still be the most famous job listing in history. So the story goes that Ernest Shackleton was looking for men to join him on a dangerous expedition to Antarctica, and put out a classified ad to find potential candidates. The ad said that the you won’t be paid well, it’ll be a insanely dangerous journey, and the only real thing they can offer is the glory and recognition you’d get *IF* the journey was successful. So not the most enticing job listing in the world… But it worked, and there are a couple reasons why: A - It’s polarizing. B) It’s framed as a challenge, not as a standard job listing. And to everyone’s surprise - allegedly over 5,000 men signed up to go on the expedition, making it one of the most successful and notorious job listings in history.

Like almost anything in marketing - deciding where to send your traffic shouldn’t be a binary, either/or decision. I like to look at TikTok Shop as a traffic channel, the same way that I’d view sending customers to an Amazon Store… There are going to be major benefits - like increased trust from the customer and competitive CPA’s. And there are going to be tradeoffs - like not ‘owning’ the customer and not being able to increase AOV & CLTV with upsells and post purchase re-engagement sequences. Hiding bad reviews is a big mistake. Nobody believes you have 1,000 reviews and they are all 5 star. They will view you as untrustworthy and view everything else you say (even if it’s true) with skepticism. Instead lean into the bad reviews.

Nobody likes being told that they need to spend more money… But when you’re trying to figure out if a new offer works with paid traffic, you’ll save yourself a lot of time, heartache, and $$ by giving yourself enough budget to get some real data back. If you’re selling a $50 app - chances are that a $500 testing budget isn’t going to give you enough data to figure out if the offer works or not. This super simple psychological hack will instantly make people trust you and your brand more… It’s called the power of precision. Have you ever been on a website or scrolled past an ad and seen copy along the lines of “Over 1,000 satisfied customers’ or ‘Trusted by over 100 Doctors’? It comes across as really ambiguous… almost scammy. Because it’s too broad - anybody could throw out those numbers. But if you were to change that to “1,342 satisfied customers and counting” or “Trusted by 103 doctors in the Central Florida area” - that copy instantly becomes more believable and impactful. If you’ve ever worked in the Agency Space, then you’ve probably had at least one client that made you question everything you know about marketing. For me, it was a business that sold plastic covers for the tuning pegs of a guitar… When we first launched the ads for this company, the metrics were almost unbelievable - double digit CTR’s, insane engagement, and we were getting clicks for pennies. But something was off.. There were absolutely 0 purchases. So after a bit of digging and looking at the actual ad - people were DESTROYING this product in the comments… In fact, I don’t think there was a single positive comment. As it turns out, guitars are super expensive, and people don’t want to put cheap plastic covers on their super nice instruments. This is why product-market fit is so important, and you can’t just rely on paid traffic to make customers actually want your product. Have you ever worked with a client like this?

At face value, increasing the minimum wage is a great idea. However, we need to consider the bigger picture and the fact that companies will act in their best interest, which can result in hurting those trying to find their first job.

There are thousands of landing page templates out there that boast X% conversion rate or claim to deliver Y Results across every industry under the sun… And while a lot of these templates are great, the truth is that there is no “Perfect” landing page.
