MZTV 729 - 06/16/2021: I Am Not a Universalist

Don't allow anyone to saddle you with theological terms such as "Christian" or "Universalist." Instead of "Christian," either refer to yourself as a believer or as a member of the body of Christ. Instead of "Universalist," describe yourself as one who believes that Jesus Christ successfully took away the sins of the world at the cross. I am of the opinion that it is better to refer to ourselves in terms of description than of official nomination. We don't want anyone pigeonholing us. We don't want stereotyped.

But stereotyping is just what happens with the term "Christian" or "Universalist." Besides, when we DESCRIBE what we do or what we are rather than let ourselves be hung on a theological hat tree, it suggests (or even injects) our belief system into the minds of antagonists before we've even uttered a word. The rest is icing on the cake.
