MZTV 1566: The Lake of Fire Is Not a Lake of Love
Our friend Clyde Pilkington suggests that the lake of fire is a lake of love. This is not at all the truth of the context. In the context of Revelation chapter 20, the lake of fire is a judgment against those whose names are not written in the book of life. While God’s love certainly dictates all of His actions, it is important for us to speak and teach as the context speaks and teaches.
Those who teach God’s Word must be very careful where they place punctuation such as commas and quotation marks. Note the vast difference between:
a) The dead are resurrected.
b) The “dead” are “resurrected.”
The first statement declares literal truth, the second (because of the quotation marks) declares that neither the death nor the resurrection are literal.
I may come across as nit-picky in this episode, but isn’t that what you count on me for? There are so many departures from truth these days that we must hold teachers to a high standard of clarity—myself included. Anyone even suggesting—either purposely or unwittingly—that the second death is not really death but rather a place of spiritual enlightenment, raises a red flag for me. I know it does the same for you.

MZTV 1565: Death is Not a Transition From Death
Here is the "Daily Goodie" I received from Clyde Pilkington in my inbox today: "The 'lake of fire' is just a part of the transition from death to life."
Huh?
If Clyde is trying to say that God, through the eonian times, is transitioning from death to life, then Clyde should present us with some stupendous scene of resurrection. How could the lake of fire, which is defined by God as "the second death" (Revelation 20:14) be a part of the transition from death to life? Death is a part of the transition FROM death? If death is "a PART of the transition," then death would have to be INTRINSICALLY transitional, which it is not.
If God wanted to convince us that he was transitioning, during the eonian times, from death to life, then His Exhibit A would certainly not be the lake of fire, which is the second death: GOD: "To prove to you that I am transitioning from death to life, I present you with millions of dead people."
This is an absurdity. Not that Clyde is a stranger to absurdity. I just wonder if I am correctly understanding this PARTICULAR absurdity. Clyde COULD be saying (this seems more likely; though still to be filed in the "absurd" cabinet) that the second death is not literal, but rather some intermediate state between death and life. Is it the DEAD who are transitioning? But dead people cannot do anything, let alone transition. What the dead need is to be raised to life. Resurrection is not transition. It is an instantaneous miracle that makes dead people alive.
Either way, Clyde is glorifying death. Either 1) death is some sort of perverted joke-proof that God is transitioning from death to life, 2) death is intrinsically transitional, or 3) the dead are not really dead, but transitioning their way to life.
Either way, Mr. Pilkington has some explaining to do.

MZTV 1564: "Playing It Safe" is Anything But Safe
Most people think there is safety in numbers but if Scriptural precedent teaches us anything it is that, when the spirit of God moves upon a person, it moves that person away from the masses and into a wilderness. This is where true spiritual growth occurs.
The spirit of God causes one to step out and away from the crowded religious world into a world that, while it may appear at first to be risky and dangerous, is in fact the safest, most blessed place to be. It is of far greater spiritual benefit to suffer with the children of God “outside the camp” than to enjoy the transient pleasures of mass acceptance within.

MZTV 1562: God Loves Us For The Same Reason The Priests Hated Christ
The religious hierarchy of our Lord’s day hated Him for no reason at all, that is, without a cause. Likewise, WE are hated by our contemporaries without a cause, even as we bring them a gospel of grace, peace, and salvation. But more importantly, God lavishes us with His grace, not because of who WE are, but because of Who HE is.
In this video, I look at the word “gratuitously” in Romans 3:24 and in John 15:25 to show you just how unworthy we are of the love God lavishes upon us.

MZTV 1561: The Christian Obsession With James
The Christian infatuation with the writer of the letter of James speaks to a love law and, really, the disdain of this organization for all things gracious. You’d be hard-pressed to find a Christian whose favorite book of the Bible is NOT James.
James is still fighting sins—and so are Christians. The last thing they want is a writer such as Paul who, by divine revelation, ditches the cooperative salvation of James for a message that lays salvation completely at the feet of Christ.

MZTV 1560: TRUMP DEBATE ANALYSIS/The Ratio Between Law and Grace
No one should infer from the first half of this video that I've soured on Trump. I love the guy for his bull-elephant balls, the pair of which are essential to bringing the peace and prosperity required for our end-time scenario. We NEED Trump's arrogance. I'm just saying that his arrogance got the best of him in Tuesday's debate. NEVERTHELESS...
Trump is primed to win the election. What Tuesday night showed me was that this man is not the 4-D chess player some have supposed him to be. He flailed and failed. This was of God, to show us that the coming political earthquake will be of God and not man.
In the second half of this video (two videos today for the price of one), I compare the "tens of thousands" of first-century Circumcision saints who believed in Jesus as Messiah but who were "inherently zealous for the law" (Acts 21:20) with the relatively few who embraced Paul's gospel of transcendent grace. Additionally, we hear of no one forsaking the Circumcision/Israel gospel, whereas MANY forsook Paul, even in his lifetime.
The conclusion of yesterday's video is sustained in todays: Grace is much more difficult to maintain than law.

MZTV 1559: James Gang: The Tendency of Humanity Toward Law
Politically, the tendency of the human race is to rule or be ruled. Freedom is hard won and even harder kept.
Likewise, humans gravitate toward pleasing God in the flesh. Embracing a message that is all grace apart from human contribution is apparently impossible apart from divine enlightenment. Once said enlightenment arrives, the battle becomes keeping the flame lit against every stratagem of the unenlightened.

MZTV 1558: The Inner-Sanctum of Peace
The holy spirit within us is the same divine power that called into existence the universe. Why can't WE call it into existence? No need to. It's already present. We need only acknowledge it and—here's the breakthrough advice—PICTURE it.
Picture the spirit of God as a powerful, creative force inside you that radiates outward and surrounds you in the form of a perfect cube. Why a cube? Because the holy of holies was a perfect cube that famously housed the settled glory of God. This same glory now makes its home in you—except there's more of it and it follows you wherever you go. You can't turn around and walk away from it, as the high priests did on the Day of Atonement.
And why would you want to?

MZTV 1557: Paul Taught HIS Gospel, Not Peter's
The apostle Paul, especially in Hebrews, taught ABOUT the Circumcision gospel, but this is much different than TEACHING the Circumcision gospel.
He encouraged his brethren according to flesh to hold fast to their calling. But again, this is different than committing himself to overstepping his bounds and moving in on Peter's ministry.
Peter was the minister to the Circumcision, and Paul was the minister to the Uncircumcision (Galatians 2:7). Peter may well have encouraged Paul's people, and Paul Peter's, but they heralded each in accord with what the Lord gave them.
Secondly, it is supposed by some that although Paul calls himself an apostle to the nation, these "of the nations" were still in fact Jews. This is an attempt, I believe, to artificially delay the start of Paul's ministry. For what purpose? Perhaps to prop up the Acts 28 position, which states that Paul did not become the minister to the nations until he was an old man in prison. Now, why would anyone wish to adhere to THIS? Because it relegates Paul's early, pre-prison epistles to Israel. Explaining further, it does away with the snatching away for the body of Christ.
And why would anyone want to dispense with such a glorious event? Well, if one is fairly comfortable, for whatever reason, in this wicked eon, such would be loathe to be so drastically removed from it—especially those of a family bent. I cannot say with utter certainty that this is the only reason for latching onto the Acts 28 position and its sister teaching, the premillennial kingdom, but I do think it plays a significant part.

MZTV 1554: What Was Paul Doing in the Synagogues After His Conversion?
We begin this edition of MZTV with a recap of how important it was to Paul’s early career (and his very survival) for Peter to understand that the nations were no longer unclean. Next, we look at the faction within the Jerusalem ecclesia (all believers in Jesus Christ) between Peter and James, the literal brother of our Lord. Peter enthusiastically accepted Paul; James—not so much.
Next, why do we find Paul in the synagogues? Was he teaching the Circumcision evangel there? Giving to the Jews his OWN evangel? The answer to both these questions is: absolutely not. Then what the heck WAS he doing?
I am continually intruged by these early, dramatic days of Paul’s career. We are so far removed from this time we forget that, at first, the Jews struggled to even accept that Jesus of Nazareth, whom many of them had met, was the long-awaited Messiah. This was Step 1. Step 2 was the introduction of a radical new gospel by a man who just weeks before was ravenously persecuting followers of Jesus. Yeah, WE get all of this now, but the men and women of THAT day were coming to grips with all this in real time.
Not even the Kardashians can beat this for drama.

MZTV 1553: Unless Peter Learns That Gentiles are Now Clean, Paul is a Dead Man
In Acts chapter 10, two men have two separate visions from God at nearly the same exact time. A man of the nations named Cornelius is in Caesarea, on the Israel coast, when God tells him, via a celestial messenger, to send men down to Joppa (35 miles—56 kilometers—south of Caesarea), also a coastal city, to inquire for a man named Simon, surnamed—yes, that Peter.
On the same evening, Peter is in Joppa relaxing on his roof but becoming ravenously hungry when God puts him into an ecstasy and lowers a sheet from heaven in which there are unclean creatures of all kinds. God says to Peter, “Kill and eat.” Peter declines, telling God that he has never eaten any unclean food. God says, “Do not call unclean what I have cleansed.”
Cleansed? Unclean animals?
Peter did not know what this meant at the time (he would soon find out), but we do: God was cleansing the nations. Peter was no longer to consider people from other nations to be dirty dogs.
This must mean that Peter is now ready to start the Great Commission, to take the gospel of the Circumcision to all the nations of the world. Nope. As far as we know, Cornelius is the only Gentile to whom Peter announces the Circumcision evangel in his lifetime. (Yes, Peter did go to the home of Cornelius and yes, something remarkable happened there in that Cornelius and his entire household—Gentiles all—received the holy spirit apart from the Jewish rite of baptism. This shook Peter to his core. )
But if Peter did not subsequently go to the nations on the heels of this divine revelation, why was this excursion from Joppa to Caesarea necessary? It was for the sake of Paul. That’s right. Apart from God preparing Peter for what Paul would do among the nations, the Jews would have assassinated Saul/Paul on day one. But with Peter’s blessing and right hand of fellowship extended to Paul, at least the most notable and powerful believing Jews in Jerusalem would “get” Paul’s work (barely) and not only refuse to hassle him, but keep as many of the Jerusalem contingent from hassling him as they could. This was not a 100% effective campaign, we know that, but it kept Paul alive so that God could do His might work among the nations through him, bringing a new evangel of the transcendent grace of God to the world.
But not without the understanding and fellowship of Peter.

MZTV 1552: OMG, The Gulf Between the Two Gospels is Wider Than I Thought
In my man-on-the-street interview with Honest Jim on Friday’s show, I tried to interpret his words in light of Paul’s gospel. There was no connection. And when I spoke Pauline truth to him, my words landed like the Hindenburg.
We were literally speaking foreign languages to one another.
For as many years as I have realized the differences between the Israel gospel and Paul’s gospel to the nations, I see now that the gulf is even wider than I thought.
Jim’s big-gun verse was 1 Peter 2:24: “[Jesus Christ] Who Himself carries up our sins in His body on to the pole, that, coming away from sins, we should be living for righteousness.” Jim says this verse proves that, in spite of Jesus dying FOR sins, believers must still walk away from these sins in order to be saved. Since my conversation with Jim, I have tried to make this verse reflect Paul’s truth of justification by faith—but I just can’t do it.

MZTV 1550: The Third Heaven is a Paradise
Paul states in 2 Corinthians 12:2 that he was snatched away to the third heaven. But did he also visit the third earth? We may ask this question because of Paul’s statement in the same context that he was snatched into paradise (2 Corinthians 12:4). Isn’t the new earth called paradise? So what is a celestial man doing visiting the new earth? Is this a confusion of the two gospels?
Put all confusion to rest. Today’s show is a wonderful revelation (that is, it’s full of wonder) that the paradise of God need not be limited or assigned to only one location.
So let’s head up to the third heaven with Paul and see what we find.

MZTV 1548: Who is Gog and Magog And Why a Rebellion at the End of the Millennium?
A strange thing happens at the end of the thousand-years of peace: Satan is released from his jail and a bunch of malcontents far removed from the capital city get up a rebellion—under Satan’s leadership—and drum up a palace coup; they’re going to march to the Holy City and overthrow the righteous government of Jesus Christ. Sound like a hair-brained scheme? “Stupid” is a better word for it.
And yet this action speaks volumes to the heart of humanity apart from the beautiful condition known as “no confidence in flesh” (Philippians 3:3). How does this rebellion end, and what does this say about any thoughts of the Millennium being the final installment of God’s plan to become all in all (1 Corinthians 15:28)?

MZTV 1547: God Assists Paul in His Two-Pronged, Uphill Battle
God saddled/blessed Paul with two uphill battles. Number one, Paul had to explain to Peter and the eleven how he could teach justification by faith apart from works of law to the nations. Number two, it fell upon Paul to explain to Israel in general that, even though Jesus Christ was out of Judah and not Levi, he could still be the Chief Priest in the Millennium.
These were both extremely hard sells.
God—and Scriptural precedent—to the rescue. To explain justification by faith among the nations to the Lord’s disciples, God inspired Paul to recall the Genesis 15 account of Abraham being reckoned righteous due simply to believing God. To explain to Israel-at-large the viability of Christ as Chief Priest, God points Paul to the Genesis 14 account of Abraham meeting with the great and mysterious Melchizedek, a king and priest of the Most High God before Israel (and thus Levi) even existed. and tithing him, that his, recognizing him as superior. Not only this, but Melchizedek blesses Abraham—nothing remarkable there except for the fact (and the Jews well knew this) that the inferior is blessed by the greater.
Oh, and Psalm 110: 4 helped a WHOLE lot.

MZTV 1546: Was the Birth of Jesus the Worst Curse To Ever Befall Humanity?
Christians tell us that billions of human beings will burn in hell for eternity for rejecting Jesus. Put another way: if Jesus hadn't come to earth, no one could burn in hell for eternity. No one had ever even dreamed of it before Him.

MZTV 1545: I Think I Know What Peter Found Hard to Understand About Paul
In Paul’s gospel, the future has come to us. Everything God will accomplish at the conclusion of the final two eons has been placed into our hands, hearts, and minds by God. He time-travels backwards to dazzle us with these baubles of future bliss, handing His coming accomplishments to beings stuck in the dirt-box of Eon 3.
No wonder people think we’re nuts.
Did Peter think Paul was off his nut as he relayed these wonders? Yes. At first. I think the Rock needed a drink in order to hang with Paul’s time-traveling revelations of being extricated out of wicked eons and transported into future kingdoms. Peter, as all of Israel, thought linearly. Paul hopped, skipped, and jumped over Israelite expectations to bring far-off blessings into the laps of recently-idolatrous Greeks.
Peter was happy about it, I think, but could not live in it. That’s okay. It was enough for him to grasp it; he was not meant by God to appropriate it.

MZTV 1544: None of Jesus' Disciples Even Mention "The Cross of Christ"
“The cross of Christ” is mentioned neither in the book of Hebrews, nor in any of Peter’s letters, nor in John’s three letters. This is because the manner of Christ’s death is irrelevant to Israel’s gospel. The cross of Christ is still, to this day, a mystery to Israel. Not even our Lord’s disciples heralded it. How could they, when they didn’t even understand it? Nothing in the old covenant types could explain what happened on Calvary.
The death of Christ is important to Israel, yes, but the MANNER of His death they still cannot comprehend.
Only one man understood—and was meant to understand—the meaning of the depth of Christ’s six hours of suffering upon the Roman stake. To only one man was the secret of the cross revealed: the apostle Paul.
The cross of Christ abolished the fleshly advantage of Israel, considering all humanity—as the progeny of Adam—to be fit only for death. The cross of Christ therefore put the old humanity itself to death, opening the way to justification by faith to those who believe. Additionally, the cross of Christ was also God’s means of reconciling the heavens and the earth—the entire population of the universe—to Himself.
Nowhere will you find justification by faith in any Israel book of the Bible. Nowhere will you find the reconciliation of every inhabitant of the universe to God in any Israel book of the Bible. These epic themes are not the themes of Israel because the cross is not the theme of Israel. Their theme, their message, is forgiveness of sins for Israelites and the proselytes of Israel. For this, they need only grasp Jesus as the Messiah of Israel, the Lamb of God—and certainly not as the Progenitor of a new humanity, tortured for six hours on a Romans stake.
Oh, and they are also required to repent 24 hours a day

MZTV 1543: The Israel Gospel Not Founded Upon the Cross
The cross of Christ heralded by Paul occasioned a new humanity. But with a new humanity comes the erasure of national distinction. Thus, the cross of Christ becomes fatal to the Israelite message, which has Israel as the head of the nations during the Millennium. This is why the Israel gospel is not founded upon the cross, but rather upon a recognition of Jesus Christ as the Messiah of Israel.
For us, however, the cross is the centerpiece of our evangel. It is not only the basis of a new humanity, but for justification by faith. “We are reckoning a man to be justified by faith apart from works of law” (Romans 3:28). Justification and law do not commingle. Yet during the thousand-year Israel kingdom, law is front and center. Thus, even during the thousand-years Israel does not come into the truth of justification by faith.
God could not justify the old humanity, and so He put it to death. This is advanced (and advance) truth only for the body of Christ. Thus, no one embracing the Israel gospel of repentance and forgiveness is able to grasp the truth of justification by faith. God does not give it to them. And neither does He give them truths pertaining to the new creation. No, but they are (or will be) a reformed old creation. As odd as this seems to us, it is an Israelite undertaking.
I only ask that these people stay the heck away from our evangel.

MZTV 1542: Hardly Anyone Understands Justification By Faith
Justification by faith is being declared to be righteous by God simply by believing God that we are righteous. This evangel (good news) would be readily believed were it not for ANOTHER evangel in the New Testament stating that confession of sin to God is the only way for one to become right before God. This evangel is shockingly NOT based on the cross of Christ (for it was heralded BEFORE the cross), but rather on the confession of sin.
This evangel is known as “The Evangel of the Circumcision” and it is the evangel brought to Israel via Moses, via Peter, via Jesus while He was on earth. It is NOT the evangel brought to the nations via Paul, via the glorified Son of God Who was no longer confined to Israel truth when He called Saul the Pharisee on the road to Damascus.
Strange that, when confronted with both these gospels, the majority of the human race will ignore all of Paul’s amazing declarations concerning sin, in Romans, in order to believe the Israel gospel found via the Circumcision writers—Peter, James, John, and Jude. Why is that? Two reasons. 1) Humans would rather be accountable for their sins and have a part in their expiation rather than be the beneficiaries of the grace of God which does not include them, and 2) most of the human race remains unaware that the evangel of Paul and the evangel of Peter are not meant to be reconciled (it is impossible for them to be) and certainly not mixed.
Welcome to the end of all confusion.
