The king of the Neo-Babylonian empire had a chance to learn a powerful lesson in humility — the hard way. After 7 years of living in a demented state, God renewed the king’s sanity and as a result, Nebuchadnezzar came to understand the power of the biblical worldview, and the bible’s God.

However, his grandson did not take heed, nor learn the lesson that pride comes before a fall.
The question for us today is, “Are we listening to God’s message? Are we heeding the handwriting on the wall as it applies to our nations?” There is power in the biblical worldview and the God of Creation who opposes and abases the proud, but elevates the humble who love him.
