52.5 KG x10 Overhead Press
First day officially back on 5/3/1!
I re-adjusted my TrainingMax to about three cycles back to where I was before. I could have started with more, as my 3RM is about 67.5 KGs, but I figured I should keep my ego in check, start a bit lighter, and hopefully break some rep PRs, and build strength in the process. Plus, I figured it would be a smart idea to compensate for having a break from 5/3/1, and overhead pressing (haven't overhead pressed heavily in 2-3
weeks) and ease myself back in to it, while building confidence, and hopefully not plateauing as quickly.
Form was a bit sloppy, due to my pain in the ass uprights, mistakes in the heat of the moment, and going for reps touching the upper chest/clavicle area. I think I am going to stick to below the chin, like I was doing before, I find going to the upper chest causes my upper back to excessively arch, and my elbows start to swing behind the bar, and myself. I don't know, just might be my own personal make-up for me, it always feels disadvantageous to me.
