In this video we will learn the conjugation of ser (to be) and Ir a (to go to) in the past tense, what in Spanish is called el pretérito.

These two verbs will have the same conjugation in the simple past.
Remember that "Ser" is used to talk about: characteristics, career, relationships, telling time,
Remember that "Ir a" is used to talk about: going to a place.

You will be able to differentiate which one you are using by remembering that "IR" (to go) is always followed by the preposition "a" (to).
