At six feet, five inches tall and weighing 300 plus pounds, there’s a reason why Denver Broncos offensive lineman Dalton Risner is called “Moose.” On today’s edition of Family Talk, listeners will get a sneak peek into the self-discipline that enabled this 26-year-old Christian to make it in the NFL. His life verse is First Peter 4:10, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.” The author of an inspirational children’s book entitled Rise Up, Dalton credits Jesus, along with his college coach, and his tough-as-nails dad for his success.

About Today's Guest: Dalton Risner
Dalton Risner is an American professional football player in his third year as an offensive lineman for the NFL’s Denver Broncos. Raised in Wiggins, Colorado, Dalton grew up on a family farm with his four brothers and his mom and dad. His involvement at an early age in the lives of friends and neighbors in the community helped shape him into a service-oriented Christian and leader. He received a football scholarship from Kansas State University where he played from 2014-2018. While there, he was named a 2018 First Team All-American, Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year and a Lombardi Award Finalist. Dalton was drafted by the Broncos in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and was one of only 10 rookies to start all 16 games during his first season. He is active through the Special Olympics, the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, and his own foundation, RisnerUp. Dalton is engaged to be married to Whitney Clampitt. They both reside in Parker, Colorado.
