Eagle Bike Park ~ Sticky When Wet

Lisa and I met up with Fidel for some laps at Eagle today. First time in a looooonggg time that I can remember this place actually having some sticky dirt. Definitely welcome but that creates its own challenges.

First you have to re-calibrate how much more energy you need to put down to get the same rolling speed when approaching jumps. Coming up short is a real factor. I cased one today real hard! Since the precipitation doesn't really soak in around here. You get this 'mush' that sits on top and that can become quite slick. As if dry dust isn't challenging enough!

Following Fidel is always fun as he is a capable, smooth rider and enjoys pushing himself. Also nice that he was able to 'follow cam' me and get some footage which I will post shortly. I love getting people on camera, but it is nice to see what you're doing yourself. Have I improved? Or how can I improve? The tape doesn't lie.

Goal: The first 4 jumps on Sage Fright is next on my check list. There even looks to be some 'new' jump lines being developed right next to the 'skills park' area!
