Harvesting Earth Energy with Neo Magnet Boat

A 6 inch aluminum pan is our boat with a plastic fin taped to the side. 6 N42 neo magnets are turned slowly by a stepper motor controlled by an Arduino.

Earth's magnetic field is powerful enough to be leveraged by the powerful neo magnets as a compass to rotate the boat side to side and make the fin drive the boat forward.

Does it use less electricity than a propeller would? Who cares? It's just too cool:)
