Bambu Lab A1 mini Used to Print Compass Magnet Motor

I am having a blast with my Bambu Lab A1 mini 3D printer.

In this video I show my Compass Magnet Motor which is 3D printed.

The X shaped pieces are bearings or guides with simply a hole in the middle for the upper axle and the U-coupling on the DC motor shaft in the middle.

The armature is 3D printed with a place for the DC motor that is nicely fitted and aligned, a place for the 9 volt battery and a place for the PCB that controls the motor.

The frame or if you will the motor housing is also 3D printed.

The armature hangs freely from a fishing swivel on the top.

The latest addition is the magnet pod which holds 3/4 inch diameter by 1/4 inch n52 neo magnets and has a slide on lid.

In the pod the magnets are very safe to have around. If something metal gets stuck to the pod it is easy to detach but the power of the magnets is very strong as a compass.

Stay tuned:)
