20210801 Section 230 Reform, or Kill - The Daily Summation

Do you honestly think there will serious effects as a result of the repeal or removal of Section 230? I don't.

Big tech will continue on its current course, and government will almost certainly do likewise.

The only serious consequence I see, is that government will lose a piece of its power over social media platforms (as would be the case if a number of other such things were removed from the books, like tax exempt status for churches).

You can disagree, but I have EVERY CONFIDENCE in what I'm saying.

I'm open to arguments, but don't EXPECT one to be found to change my mind.

It's time for Section 230 to GO AWAY, in my humble opinion.

It's also time for people either start, or continue to advance, in their creation or growth of NEW social media companies, with freedom based charters NOT found in the current ones.

I'd love to hear folks' arguments and discussion on this, so remember you can comment on this video.
