Minimum Wage is a Moving Target

I have been hearing about raising the minimum wage pretty much my entire adult life. When I started working the minimum wage was $5.25 per hour. It has been raised since then, and we are still hearing the same things about not having enough to survive with those wages. Now they are talking about raising it to 15 or 20 dollars an hour. Doing so will not solve the problem. Large businesses will raise wages with a smile on their face, knowing that inflation will negate any increase in wages working class people receive. Its a moving target that you can never catch.

I believe we should ignore the minimum wage, and go after the problem itself, which is cost. Already we are supposed to have institutions in place to protect us from things like inflation, but those institutions are run by the very people who benefit from inflation.

The people at the top could care less how many dollars they pay out. They know the truth about cash. It is simply a tool to be used when trading for real assets. All they care about are percentages. They care about how much they get back for how much they put in. Regular people are being scammed.
