Words of Wisdom
1 Peter 1:22-25
'Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.'

I. United In Love (1 Thes. 1:2-6)
• Good morning!! I am so glad that you are here with us today!!
• As we look at our text today, we are hearing a powerful message that Peter is delivering to the church.
• Peter addresses the nature of the connection that we as believers have.
• The Apostle Paul would also echo this same sentiment. This is a theme that no matter who is speaking, the message is still the same. (1 John 1:1-7)
• We have been called to Love God with all our hearts, and to love His people as well!

II. The Everlasting Truth (Isa. 40:1-15, 26-31)
• As we continue to hear from our text today, we hear true wisdom being revealed.
• As Peter continues to encourage and charge the readers of this letter, he pulls a revelation that God gave to Isaiah.
• Listen to what Isaiah say! See this is why I love God!! This is why I love Jesus!! This is why I love The Holy Spirit!! Praise God for His Infinite Wisdom!! His grace and mercy!!!

III. Standing On The Promises!!
• As we come to the last part of our text today, we see that Peter closes this point he is making with a profound statement!
• Q. What is the Word that he is mentioning? JESUS!! Remember back to our first point? Each one of the writers is speaking about the fact that it is Jesus who unites us!!
• You see, in the midst of your storms, in the midst of your trials, God continues to prove Himself Faithful!! We can stand on His promises! We can trust Him to keep His Word!!
• If you are here today and have heard all that has been presented and are wanting to know Jesus the way that each one of the writers, and those of us whom have placed our faith and trust in, then there is just one thing you have to do!
• Choose Jesus Today!!!!
