This video shows how Joseph in the bible obtains the birthright of Israel for his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim from his father Jacob.
The Pharaoh of Egypt heard about Joseph's family and he offered wagons to help go get them from Canaan. When Jacob saw the wagon's full of goods from Egypt then he began to believe that Joseph was really alive and he began to use the name Israel again.
Jacob was on his way to Egypt and Israel stopped in Beersheba to offer a sacrifice to YHWH and there YHWH assured Jacob to go into Egypt. Jacob went into Egypt with his whole family, seventy souls total. Joseph ashed Jacob not to tell Pharaoh he was a sheep herder but Joseph's brothers let him know and he was fine with it.
Jacob met the Pharaoh when he was 130 years old and they settled in Goshem. When the famine raged on the Egyptians eventually ran out of money to buy corn so they traded cattle then when the cattle ran out they traded land. They ran out of land and Joseph moved them into the cities, he then began to subsidize the farmers to sow the land and farm it. They only ones whop owned land apart from Pharaoh were the priests.

The people of Israel prospered in Egypt for the next 17 years and Jacob was getting older he called Joseph and asked him to vow not to bury him in Egypt. He then brought his two sons Ephraim and Manasseh and Jacob blessed the two sons making them his own which made Ephraim and Manasseh two more tribes of Israel, these two tribes became known as the 'House of Joseph'. Here Joseph was given a blessing to become a company of nations.
Ephraim the younger was made greater than Manasseh the older by Jacob. He made them a multitude in the midst of the earth.
When Jacob blessed his 12 sons he took away Reuben's blessing because he had lain with Jacob's concubine named Bilhah. We read about this in 1 Chronicles chapter 5. Here we read that Reuben's birthright was given to the sons of Joseph. We also are told that Judah became the chief ruler but the birthright was Joseph's.
Manasseh shall be a great nation but Ephraim shall be a company of nations.
