This 5.5x52 cedar sleeved stick offers a very dark chocolate wrapper with a dry toothy feel, minimal veins, tight seams, double cap and a peppery tobacco aroma. First light reveals a tight draw with decent smoke output, medium-full body flavors of a very deep, earthy and chocolate tobacco with a pretty short finish. The first third produces much the same experience, adding a touch of sweetness and oil to the finish, but otherwise remaining unchanged. Draw is slightly more open but still snug, producing average smoke. Burn is very good, almost razor sharp. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point, flavors shift just slightly, adding in a bit of creamy textured wood and knocking down the big earth a notch. Ending at 1:10 where it got too hot for me, the last third only changed by lengthening the finish, pulling the same deep flavors from the draw.
