But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you" (Matthew 6:6). NIV

Jesus practiced five BEING habits that helped Him stay closely connected to the Father and counter the negative forces in His life. These are habits we can adopt for ourselves.

1. Solitude: Jesus spent time alone with the Father on a consistent basis.
2. Prayer: Jesus constantly prayed to the Father.
3. Knowledge of Scripture: Jesus quoted Scripture and pointed others to it.
4. Close Relationships: Jesus had a group of loyal and trusted friends.
5. Trust in the Unconditional Love of His Father.
