Welcome to a Emmaus road productions.

Today study we’re going to take a look at part 4 on how to study the bible.

2 Timothy 2:15 Commands us 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

In today’s world it is not politically correct to believe in absolute truths. Today, I hear phrases like “my truth”, “your truth”, etc. Though this is not a popular opinion there is a such thing as absolute truth. 2+2=4, 1 cup is = 8 oz. If you are baking a cake following a recipe if you don’t follow the recipe you are going to end up with a bad cake. If your truth is gluten is bad and you substitute corn meal for flour, or you add extra butter, eggs etc.

This episode will also answer the question of if there are multiple interpretations of the same scripture. Many Christians look at the Bible today like a piece of art and ignore many of the rules for rightly interpreting scripture.

In part 1 I talked about worldviews if you want more detail.

The recipe for life is the Word of God. Many of the problems in this world are where we have tried to make the cake of life without the recipe or we substituted different ingredients.
