The Seventh Street Drawbridge Time-lapse

I shot a time-lapse of the seventh street bridge, showing the new LED lighting that the city has installed. I think the lighting looks wonderful, and the fact that they can program the light to show different colors is great.
Port Huron began trying out new LED lights beneath the structure this weekend in the first step to lighting up all three of the city’s drawbridges. City Manager James Freed said the idea itself came from a goal-setting session earlier this year for City Council members before officials reached out to the city’s electric contractor recently.

Mayor Pauline Repp compared the idea to the city’s stringing lights up over downtown’s Main Street three years ago.
