Biography
Steve Cook grew up in Milwaukee, WI in the sixties. Throughout his life, he witnessed incredible progress in race relations and remains hopeful that future generations will continue building a more inclusive world. His journey has been one of hard work and adaptability starting with dreams of professional golf, shifting through careers in plumbing, newspaper distribution, and the railroad, and now serving with the TSA. Along the way, Steve has been shaped by the kindness of others, from Navy friends who lent a helping hand to the diverse community he now calls home in Texas. Life’s unpredictability, from career changes to weathering Hurricane Ian, has only reinforced his resilience and appreciation for the adventure that each new chapter brings.
