Biography
Sonya Mallard is the Cultural Center Coordinator at the Harry T. & Harriette V. Moore Cultural Center and Museum and has been instrumental in increasing visitation by bringing economic dollars into the county via tourism and international travel. She also finds time to write for the only African American Newspaper, “Ebony News Today” in Brevard County, and is a Blogger with the Wells Project. She believes in Community Engagement and is currently the Chairwoman of the Board of Adjustments, Vice-President of the North Brevard Democratic Club, 1st Vice President of National Congress of Black Women, Silver Lifetime member of the NAACP, Board Member of Space Coast Black Chamber of Commerce, Brevard Cultural Alliance, Tooley Community Development Group, and Project Response. Sonya Mallard is a Community Activist with more than 30 years of experience in Motivational Speaking, HIV Awareness, Civic Engagement, and mentoring. She is the Executive Director of S&T Health Consulting Group, Inc. (Brevard Aids Services) a non-profit 501C (3). She serves her community as a HIV Educator, Tester, & Advocate.
