Posted • February 24, 2025: Caring for elderly family members is no walk in the park—it’s more like a marathon through a minefield with a blindfold on. The physical toll of lifting, bathing, and managing medications is exhausting enough, but toss in the emotional strain of watching a loved one decline, the guilt of feeling impatient, and the relentless juggling of your own life’s demands, and you’ve got a recipe for burnout that’d make even the toughest cookies crumble. It’s a labor of love, sure, but one that tests every ounce of patience, resilience, and sanity you’ve got. MASSIVE SCANDAL IN NEW YORK - Kathy Hochul is looking to OVERHAUL a successful healthcare program in order to give her friends favors! CDPAP program allows sick, elderly, &disbled people to choose their own home caregiver. This ensures more privacy, comfort, & trust. It’s often utilized by family members who get paid to take care of their relatives.

What’s Hochul doing? Unionizing the whole program. She’s consolidating it all into one company. So now your relative caring for grandma is part of a union. The union is in your home. How did she choose the one company? She only looked at 4 bids and apparently it was known in Albany she would choose that one because the CEO donated to Democrats. This new version of the program has been tried in multiple other states and not only FAILED but ended up costing the taxpayers MORE. Currently there are 600 companies administering the service to 280k patients. 600 NY based companies who will be out of busines if this goes through. Even Democrat Rep Ritchie Torres came out against it! This is the definition of corruption and waste. DOGE, Elon Musk should look into it.

I see the strains of the demands every day as a member of 'Gen X'. Generation X is stuck in the ultimate sandwich squeeze, slathering their lives with a double dose of caregiving chaos. Sandwiched between raising kids who still need help with algebra and chauffeuring aging parents to doctor’s appointments, they’re juggling sippy cups and pill organizers like circus pros. With one hand wiping noses and the other managing Medicare forms, Gen Xers are the unsung MVPs of multi-generational mayhem, proving they can handle it all—barely—with a playlist of Nirvana and a strong cup of coffee. 🚨 This will go into effect April 1 if it isn’t stopped - will destroy home healthcare. - raise insurance costs. - bring the union into your home. - shut down 600 businesses. Kathy Hochul chose a company to oversee it which her friend runs. It was described as the “worst kept secret in Albany.” Everyone knew she would choose him despite opening up the bidding and pretending to look at other options. It was RIGGED.

This reeks of corruption. This is one area where New York was getting it right. They allowed those in need of care to pay family members for their care. This allowed a family member to support themselves and their family, while still providing dignified and personalized care for their loved one. Now, New York Governor Hochul wants it unionized. It's easy to guess why. The plot thickens! This is so corrupt. FUN FACT: The "consulting firm" PCG who advised Hochul to OVERHAUL an excellent healthcare program which will shut down 600 NY businesses and transition it into 1 company called PPL— owns 25% of PPL. Who could’ve guessed! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gkljc8EXMAAPcrr?format=jpg&name=large —— They are lining her pockets. Needs to absolutely be investigated. It’s such a huge scandal and nobody is talking about it. Why is Kathy Hochul pushing to unionize a successful healthcare program, benefiting her donor friends, when it’s failed elsewhere and could hurt 600 NY companies and 280k patients? That's an excellent question!

Hochul just makes matters worse no matter what she does. And there’s always some shady financial dealings going on. This is no exception. Typical Democrat. They claim to care about the working class, but at every turn, they harm them. There needs to be more help for families who are taking care of their elderly family members. Our society should make it easier for the elderly to live out their last days in their homes with their families. This latest move by Hochul is just another despicable slap in the face of regular Americans.
