Peterson: Lots of Americans Call the IRS During Tax Time with Questions but They Don’t Answer a ‘Huge Fraction’ of Those Calls

GIGOT: “IRS employees are  targeted.  I’m sure you shed a few tears  over that one.  what a lot of the employees  fired are probationary.  what do you think of the  overall effort.”

PETERSON: “Moving fast and breaking  things, it is moving fast,  whether to break anything  voters care about, layoffs at  the energy department, it was  grambling to do that, they let  go a few people working on the  response to the avian flu that  helped push up egg prices so  much, reversing is that change,  IRS agents, I have no love for  the IRS but this is an agency a  lot of Americans call during  tax time with questions, IRS  does not answer a huge fraction  of those calls.  I don’t see where those cutter  coming from whether they doing  auto customer service or a  little but of both.  especially as they dig further  into these agencies.”
