2023’s Top 10 Most Mortifying Media Moments
This was the year they stopped pretending. To sell the illusion the news industry is here to help us separate fact from fiction, the national media historically performs their role of impartial journalist somewhat unevenly, resorting to rhetorical devices like "experts say" or "Republicans pounce" to help bury their bias beneath the surface. But in the era of Trump, the corporate media no longer cares; their existence is now defined by their crusade against the man they hate most, and that's resulting in their unapologetic attachment to his presumed 2024 opponent, President Joe Biden.
As you'll see in this year's Most Mortifying Media Moments, 2023 was a year where actual journalists unearthed incredible scoops about Biden family corruption, Fauci orchestrating a cover-up of his role in the Covid outbreak, the FBI conspiring with Big Tech to rig the 2020 election, social media companies effectively outsourcing content moderation to the CIA — but for America's corporate press, their job wasn't so much to report the news but to prevent ordinary Americans from seeing it. Keeping us distracted with petty contrivances of zero import. If there's good news, it's the resulting growing distrust of the national media, as Americans are clearly seeing the corporate media's loyalties lie not with the people, but with the uber-powerful.

Dr. Lindsey Doe Thinks Pedophilia Is a ‘Sexual Orientation’ and Wants People To Have Sympathy for Pedophiles
DOE: “VirPed.org, it’s short for ‘Virtuous Pedophiles.’ Not virtuous as in they’re better than everyone because they’re attracted to children, but virtuous like having moral standards and a sexual orientation that they have no control over, like the rest of us. Before you get all worked up, I’m talking about pedophilia, not child molestation or rape. Pedophilia is a sexual attraction to children, it’s a paraphilia, there’s a Link to more information about it in the description of videos I’ve made in the past explaining the kind of human diversity and developments. Molestation and rape are different. These are abusive actions that often have nothing to do with attraction. Many child abusers are actually sexually attracted to adults, but they act out on children, meaning you probably don’t object to pedophiles, because you’re compassionate and rational, but you may loathe child molesters and rapists because they violate people. I personally try not to judge either.”

Oprah Winfrey to Independent and Undecided Voters: ‘This Is the Moment for All Decent People’
WINFREY: “I want to say — thank you, Madame Vice President. I also want to say, thank you, Judge [inaudible], who started the gatherings on Zoom, and all of the grass roots. Now, each of you listening tonight, you become your own grassroots organization to go forward and do something coming together for the largest Zoom call we’ve all ever had. Thank you so much. And I just want to say, for all of you watching who are still on the fence, you’re in the middle, you’re independent, as I am, or whether you just still don’t know what you’re going to do, this is the moment for all decent people, all caring people who want the best for yourself and you want the best for other people. This is the moment for people who are tired of all of the bickering and all of the name-calling, people who are exhausted by the craziness and the made-up stories and the conspiracies. This is the moment. You want to get on with your life because you know that we can do better and that we deserve better. You know this. I know you know this. I know you feel this. I know this is what you’re saying amongst yourselves. It’s in all the conversations that we’re having, that you’re having. And we’re better than this. We’re better. We’re better. And we want to create a world where our children will be safe in school again and, as my friend and mentor Maya Angelou always said, when you know better, you gotta do better. Thank you.
(Cheering and Applause)
So let’s do better and vote for Kamala Harris.”

Anderson Cooper: I Am ‘Fascinated’ About Mark Robinson’s ‘Apparent Porn Selections’
COLBERT: “Hi, Anderson.”
COOPER: “How you doin’?”
COLBERT: “Nice to see you. You know, we lead the monologue tonight, we led the show tonight with some news over at the KFile over there on CNN — “
COOPER: “That’s right, yeah.”
COLBERT: “ — about what’s going on with Mark Robinson — “
COOPER: “A lot’s going on.”
COLBERT: “ — and his predilections. Are you leading tonight with that?”
COOPER: “Yeah. Yeah. Hard not to.”
COLBERT: “What?”
COOPER: “Hard not to. It’s — it’s a lot. I did not know that porn sites had comment sections.”
COLBERT: “I was surprised to hear this too.”
COOPER: “I mean, is this a common thing? Do a lot of porn sites have comment sections?”
COLBERT: “It’s a community, Anderson.”
COOPER: “I mean, really?”
COLBERT: “It’s about togetherness.”
COOPER: “Is that why people are watching porn, so they can talk — “
COLBERT: “Just to be with each other, exactly. To share a common interest. Who are we to judge?”
COOPER: “I’m not judging. I mean, he is judging because he is — I was fascinated by his apparent porn selections.”
COLBERT: “Yes, for someone who has criticized the trans community. That was one of his — “
COOPER: “It’s actually interesting, because I was backstage and I wrote down one of his comments — “
COLBERT: “That is journalism. You are watching journalism in action right here.”
COOPER: “By the way, my son was playing with crayons, so I wrote it in crayon.”
COLBERT: “That is upsetting. Go ahead.”
COOPER: “Yeah. One of his comments was about the trans porn and that he liked it. And I guess the reason that he said he liked it is because it takes the man out while leaving the man in.”
(Laughter)
COLBERT: “That sounds like a zen poem somehow. I want to talk about another — you don’t mind if we talk about work, do you?”
COOPER: “Sure. Yeah.”

Nancy Mace Reveals Flirty DMs from Michael Eric Dyson After Their Explosive CNN Clash: ‘We Look Good Together’
MACE: “I would like to also enter into the record a screenshot of a text message I received from the esteemed professor from Vanderbilt, Michael Eric Dyson after my CNN interview, begged me for photos. In this text, he says, after calling me racist on CNN, ‘Shh, don’t tell anybody, we look good together,’ and sent me a kissy emoji. Then the guy says I’m gorgeous in all these photos. I don’t think he’s that bent out of shape on how anyone pronounces Kamala. And if we’re going to have that standard, you have to hold it to both sides, not just one or the other.”

Michael Eric Dyson on Nancy Mace’s Flirting Claim: ‘I Ain’t Tryin’ to Hit on this Woman on No Day’
DYSON: “Hey, my friends, Michael Eric Dyson here. Just want to clear something up, a vicious untruth and rumor that’s being spread by Congresswoman Nancy Mace claiming I was trying to hit on her, so I’m trying to figure this out. So, this is our complete text exchange that she says proves I was trying to hit on her. We were on CNN together. She was vicious. She was nasty. She refused to call Kamala Harris by her right name. We had a bitter exchange about that. She claims in the interview that I called her racist when I went out of my way to say she wasn’t a racist. I said, ‘You’re a wonderful woman, but let me say this to you, because I know you probably didn’t understand this or mean it, but when you call Kamala Harris out of her name, that is perpetuating a legacy of inequality and of white subordination of black people.’ ‘Oh, so you called me a racist.’ No, I didn’t. So she’s looking for some reason to try to exploit the situation. This is the text exchange I sent her. Abby Phillip, the host of the show, suggested we take pictures. I said, ‘Let’s take a picture.’ She said — Abby said, ‘When you post it, then tag me too, and then we’ll have fun.’ Because the whole point was two bipolar opposites, Michael Eric Dyson on one side, Nancy Mace on the other. So I sent her and she said, ‘Great pic.’ And I said, ‘Shh, don’t tell anybody. We look good together,’ with a laughing face and a kissy face. And my point was, ‘Shh, don’t tell anybody, because we are bipolar opposites. You’re on one side of the spectrum and I’m on the other side of the spectrum.’ And she said, ‘Ha-ha-ha.’ And I said, ‘Well, you’re gorgeousness makes the photos, so there’s that.’ And a little smiley face. Again, I’m just saying that trying to be nice to her in the belief and the effort that if I’m nice to her and I prove that we don’t have any bitter consequences from our fracas on television, that we can be relatively kind to each other. And I’m being nice to her. There’s no hitting on you. I said, ‘By the way, I’ve spoken twice at the Citadel.’ She said, ‘Oh, that’s awesome,’ and sent three American flags, and I hit the exclamation point. She put a heart on the ‘Well, you’re gorgeousness makes the photos, so there’s that.’ Then she removed the heart two days later, because she knew she was up to some mayhem. I ain’t try to hit on this woman on no day. Then, later on, she called me and Keith Boykin, my fellow panelist, ‘boys.’ So here I am trying to be nice to her, to be gracious to her, to compliment her, to suggest that she was, you know, a human being, that she had been wonderful, I said she looked gorgeous that night, now she’s trying to turn this into me hitting on you? She removed the heart. These are other people that I interacted with recently, my friends, some of them. My friend Allison, I said, ‘Nice. You look gorgeous. Look out, Texas, here she comes,’ talking about that. Nell Painter, a world renowned historian, on her Instagram, I posted after she posted about she’s a Mary Ellen von der Heyden Fellow in Letters of the American Academy in Berlin, in public, I said, ‘Gorgeous and brilliant all at once,’ a heart with — a face that’s smiling with hearts and a kissy face, right= I said, ‘Keep up the great work.’ Then there is my friend Terry who I was giving tickets to for the Democratic National Convention. I said, ‘You know I can if I will. Everybody and their mama want these tickets for today. You look gorgeous as always. Then my colleague Lisa at Vanderbilt, when we took pictures, I sent them to her and I said, ‘Me and Miss Gorgeous.’ And then, Councilwoman Mary Sheffield, who is a council woman in Detroit, and I said, ‘Gorgeous and brilliant leader.’ Bless you and thank God for your courage, strength and leadership.’ And then my dear friend Susan Taylor, a renowned editor, ‘Queen,’ that’s what I call her, ‘so good to see you today, you look gorgeous as always, and you’re soul-inspiring conversation was uplifting as always. Feel better. Love y’all.’ And then finally, to Dana Bash, I congratulated her on the interview she did with Kamala Harris, and then on another interview, ‘Saying people of color are eating cats, that’s racism.’ I was quoting her. I said, ‘Thank you, Dana Bash. Besides being brilliant and courageous, you also look gorgeous.’ And then I put a — a power hand and a smiley face with — with hearts. I ain’t hitting on Nancy Mace. I often acknowledge people’s gorgeousness, and men’s too, by everybody. So my point is that this is a woman trying to exploit the situation, trying to pretend as if I was trying to hit on her. She literally has that text exchange that I read the whole of you — a whole of it to you. I ain’t trying to holler at her, I ain’t trying to be with her. I have not dated white women. Not that that’s a problem. All three of my wives have been seven to eleven years older. Again, where in that text exchange am I hitting on you? No, what you’re trying to do is generate nastiness and viciousness because you’re so bitter, because you got your butt whipped that night, because I told you then that what you’re doing is wrong. And let me correct one thing I did say. That night I said you’re a wonderful woman, and then I said, ‘I know you don’t intend to do this.’ And she said, ‘Oh, are you calling me a racist.’ And of course I said, ‘No, I wasn’t.’ Let me correct myself. You are a racist. You are a racially charged, small-minded, bigoted person who was trying to exploit a situation to try to make me believe — to make people believe that I was hitting on you when I’ve just now read the entire exchange, which is false. I’ve told — I’ve read other exchanges with people where I have called them gorgeous and wasn’t trying to hit on them. And so your attempt is sad and sorry, but you’re bigoted, racist attempt will not succeed. Ain’t nobody trying to holler at you. And if you’re that desperate that you need a black man to holler at you, I’m not the want to do it. There are plenty on your side who can do that, ma’am, but you got the wrong brother in me. Again, vicious, misleading, lying, distorting and trying to pretend as if somebody’s trying to holler at you when that’s the furthest thing from my mind. My mistake was being gracious to you trying to say, oh my God, we are opposites, but we can still be gracious to one another. I can still compliment you. I can still say nice things to you.’ There was no attempt to do anything, but to be gracious to you, but you have proved to be what I said you weren’t: a vicious white supremacist racist who is incapable of accepting the generosity and kindness of a black man. You are a sorry, sick soul.”

Pelosi: ‘We Had an Open Primary and She [Kamala Harris] Won It’
GOBA: “You have reportedly said you wanted a sort of an open primary when — if Joe Biden stepped down. Did you change your mind because you saw all the excitement around Kamala Harris?”
Pelosi: “No, I didn’t change my mind. We had an open primary and she won it. Nobody else got in the race because she was politically astute and —
(Applause)
But that was the thought, let’s show our talent. We have a great bench, all these great people in the country, and she could — she just — the president endorsed her, and that’s a big deal, because Joe Biden is most consequential president of modern times. He accomplished so much more — I mean, even Barack Obama in his 8 years in service would admit that in the short period of time that Joe Biden had the majority, which was two years of his four-year term. But it’s not just about legislating, which we share that success, that legacy of what we did, but it’s also about executing that executive Branch, how you get things done and how he translated the legislation into delivery of infrastructure, CHIPS Act, you name it, IRA in terms of saving the planet and reducing the cost of prescription drugs from $600 or $500, depending, for insulin a month for seniors to $35 a month. I mean, I could name many things. I’ve said about the 15 million jobs earlier. So, he’s very consequential, highly respected, and was to be our nominee. And then he, because he knows the job of vice president, appointed her vice president years ago, 3 ½ years ago, and because he knows the job of president, endorsed her for president. And so that — yes, people could have jumped in. There were some people who were sort of preparing, but she just took off with it. And actually, it was a blessing because there isn’t that much time. There wasn’t that much time between then and the election and it sort of saved time. So it wasn’t that we didn’t have an open process. It’s just that nobody got in because she had a running start.”

Former NYC Covid Czar Held Secret Drug-Fueled Sex Parties During Global Pandemic, Says New Yorkers Would Have Been ‘Pissed’ if They Found Out
VARNA: “I actually was the one who convinced the mayor to make it a [vaccine] mandate.”
MCU JPURNALIST: “Like, if New York City found out that you were having sex partings during Covid?”
VARNA: “Yeah, it would have been a real embarrassment. We went to some, like underground, like, dance party, like underneath a bank in Wall Street. And we were all rolling. We’re all taking Molly [Ecstasy/MDMA] and everybody’s high. And I was so happy because I hadn’t done that in like a year and a half, like a year or whatever. And but I was looking around being like, f*uck, I wonder if anybody sees me they’re going to be pissed, because this was not Covid-friendly. The only way I could do this job for the city was if I had some way to blow off steam every now and then. I had to be kind of sneaky about it you know. Because hotels didn’t want people gathering there,”
Because I was like running the entire Covid response in the city. My wife and I like had one with our friends like in August of like that first summer. So we rented a hotel. It was fun. We all like took like, you know, Molly [Ecstasy/MDMA] and like it was like 8 or 9 of us, 8 to 10 of us were in a room and everybody had a blast because everybody was like so pent up because like, everybody was like stuck together and stuff like that. And sometimes it isn’t so much about penetrative sex type stuff. Some of it is just something about like bodies being close to each other. Like just being like naked with friends.”
MCU JPURNALIST: “Was that like, when everything was locked down?”
VARNA: “It was like the summer of 2020. You could still like walk around the streets. You could eat outdoors, you couldn’t eat indoors.”
MCU JPURNALIST: “Did you have like any mandates in place.”
VARNA: “There wasn’t any restrictions on gathering. Like you could technically gather people. The hotels didn’t want any inside parties, but they weren’t going to like enforce it. It’s so funny. It’s like because I did all this, like, deviant, like sexual stuff while I was like, you know, like on TV and all this stuff. And people are like, aren’t you afraid? Aren’t you embarrassed? And I was like, no actually. I’m like, really like, I love being my authentic self. So the way we do it in public health is we make it very uncomfortable to be unvaccinated. I don’t expect the education to change your behavior. I’m just going to make it really f*ucking hard for you to do your job. You can’t get a job. You can’t go to a restaurant. Your kid can’t go to school. It’s like, f*uck it, I’m just going to get vaccinated.”
MCU JPURNALIST: “So was it technically, like, kind of forcing people?”
VARNA: “Yeah, that’s what you do. You force people by making it really uncomfortable.”

Buttigieg on Building Only 8 EV Charging Stations with $7.5B from the IRA: We’ll Build More in 2028
KERNEN: “Mr. Secretary, we heard the word recalibrate like 10 times — nine times from Jay Powell. I’m just wondering, is it to say that our designs on electrification of the auto industry, have we recalibrated there? And I’ll just give you one item and you can — maybe you can explain why, but under the Inflation Reduction Act, $7.5 billion for building these charging stations, the latest information, eight have been built with the $7.5 billion that — that had been allocated. You’re supposed to get to 500,000 of these charging stations by 2030. What is really the problem with it. Do you — have you looked at that and figured out why?”
Buttigieg: “Oh yeah, you know, that’s — that’s on track. So we’re at about 190,000 publicly available charging stations in the U.S., that’s approximately double what the level was when President Biden came in. The issue though is that there are some gaps in the market, ones that are just not going to be built by the private sector that’s been building the construction of those chargers to date. That’s why the legislation provided for funding to do federally supported chargers that are intended to be online before 2030. Now the bulk of that construction will happen in ‘27, ‘28, quite a bit actually I expect by 2026. A handful as you mentioned are actually already up and running, but really what you’re going to see is more the second half of this decade. And it’s really important to have those federally supported chargers because you have stretches of road or even just in the middle of our cities, apartment buildings, places in our economy where it just doesn’t yet pencil out for there to be the private sector profitably doing that. Even though about 80 percent of EV charging happens at home, the reality is that the new EV kind of landscape we’re working toward where the president’s goal is about half of sales to be EVs by the end of this decade, requires us by the end of this decade to have a lot of charging apparatus that just isn’t there as we’re sitting here in 2024.”
QUICK: “Secretary Buttigieg, thank you very much for being with us today. We appreciate it.”
Buttigieg: “Thank you.”

Trump: ‘I’m the GOAT in Debates ... I Walked off that Stage and I Thought I Had the Best Debate’
GUTFELD: “I kind of wanted to touch it, but I knew I would have been tackled. I would have enjoyed it. But it is interesting to see the response to the second attempt. Every time you are under a bigger threat, the media still blames you even more.”
Trump: “Yeah.”
GUTFELD: “It’s almost as if they don’t see their own role in this. Have you just basically accepted this as a fact?”
Trump: “I think so. Look, the media is extremely dishonest. Extremely corrupt, actually. Look at the debate. I walked off, I said that’s the — you know, they said I am the GOAT in debates, because I had a lot of debates and I became president, and the GOAT means ‘greatest of all time.’ He’s a GOAT. But I walked off that stage and I thought I had the best debate. And I was very unfairly treated by the anchor, I am not fans of those guys anymore. And his hair was better five years ago than it is now.
(Laughter)
That happens. That happens with the clock. You know, they came at me on everything, like crime. I said that crime is rampant, he said crime is down. I said, ‘Crime is down?’ Without even knowing. And I was right. The following day, the DoJ announced numbers — I don’t know who it was in the DoJ, but somebody over there likes me — that crime is up 45 percent, murder is up, numbers like you would not even believe. And anybody would know that without even seeing charts. But it turned out to be a false attack. They attacked the word ‘the bloodbath.’ I was referring to the auto industry. You know all these things. Charlottesville was totally debunked by everybody, including Laura. Laura did a whole show on it, how it’s so ridiculous.”
GUTFELD: “And even Snopes, which is a left-wing site.”
Trump: “That’s right, they even said. But all of them. And they did not correct her once, and they corrected me everything I said practically, I think nine times, or 11 times. And the audience was absolutely — they went crazy. And the real — I walked off, I said, ‘That was a great debate. I loved it.’ You know, you had a lot of people watching, I guess we had 75 million people watching, something like that. You have to do well, you can’t do badly. For instance, Biden didn’t do so well in the previous debate, because I had two debates — we actually had two debates, you know? I had one against the man and then they said, ‘He is not doing well. Take him out, put in a new one.’ And if she doesn’t do well, I wonder if they will take her out. Just keep putting them and let’s see if they get it right eventually.
(Applause)
No, but a thing like that hasn’t happened before. You know, it’s like a fighter. He knows more about fighting, but I love the fighting. Dana White, all those guys, Dana is great — “
TYRUS: “Well, your history of boxing is second to None.”
Trump: “I’ve been to more Mike Tyson fights than anybody. Mike is great, they are all great. And they’re amazing people, brilliant. It is very hard thing to be a fighter. Number one, you have to be able to take hundreds of shots to the face within a couple of rounds and enjoy coming out to the fifth round. You know, a lot of great athletes have tried to be fighters. It doesn’t work out so well. Very rarely does it work out.”

Trump on Not Receiving Endorsement from Teamsters: ‘It’s a Great Honor, They’re Not Going to Endorse the Democrats’
Reporter: “Mr. President, any reaction to the Teamsters’ decision not to endorse?”
Trump: “No, they were — it’s a great honor. They’re not going to endorse the Democrats. That’s a big thing. And this is the first time in, I guess, 50, 60 years that that’s happened. Democrats automatically have the Teamsters. They took a vote and I guess I was at 60 percent or more, and that’s a great honor. I mean, it’s really — I’ve had a lot of Teamsters work for me. A lot of the concrete trucks have built all these buildings that you see in New York City. The Teamsters, exclusively Teamsters, I have to say, they’ve done a great job. But the vote of the Teamsters themselves was very high for me, and the leadership, Sean O’Brien and the group, who are great people, they said we can’t endorse the Democrats. So I think this is the first time in many decades that they haven’t endorsed Democrats.”

Dana Bash: ‘When You Listen to Kamala Harris, You Could Almost Start a Drinking Game’
BASH: “When you listen to Kamala Harris on what she will do, you can almost start a drinking game every time she says small businesses. Let me give you an example.”
[Clip starts]
Harris: “Part of my plan under my economic opportunity plan going forward is that right now, startup entrepreneurs, small businesses only get a tax deduction of $5,000. Nobody can start a small business with $5,000. So I’m expanding that to $50,000. Understanding, again, that when people have the opportunity to have the resources to get started, they’re going to put the good ideas, they’re going to put the hard work into it.”
[Clip ends]
BASH: “Describe the politics of that.”
WEIGEL: “When she says that, she also talks about being a middle class kid. That’s also the front of her answers. If you look at the interviews they’ve been doing in local media, and they’ve opened up a bit more since the debate, the first question is often, what are you going to do to lower prices? Which is a very hard question for an incumbent party to answer. And it has implications that are very Trumpian. It is — Trump says he’s going to do mass deportation. That’ll decrease demand. Trump says he’ll explore more energy. That’ll decrease energy costs. Democrats can point to the fact that inflation is actually, it was bad two years ago. It’s not now. What people want to hear is how do you make the prices go down? So everything she says is something realistic that could survive a fact check that answers a very hard question. There is not a plan to say — to say that we’re going to lower the cost of your grocery bill to what it was in 2019. There was a pandemic. There was money — money — money supply inflation. You can’t hit the button that makes that go away. But Trump has an answer that gets them through these questions. And Harris, I think with a different set of incentives and a different relationship to something she can back up in a policy paper, she doesn’t have an answer. So she goes to a larger, well, imagine a future where there are more businesses and this starts to ameliorate.”

Hillary Clinton: ‘It‘s a Double Standard’ to Ask Kamala Harris About Her Policies
Clinton: “She does not have to do it, Kara. I’m going to just cut to the chase. In fact, she’s put out policies on her campaign website. Anybody who’s truly interested can go read about them. She referenced policies. She actually doesn’t just have policies and concepts. She has, you know, plans about what to do. I think it’s a — you know, it’s a double standard and it’s a double standard that is partly because they are still getting to know her. But also because they’re still grappling with the idea like, ‘Oh, am I really going to vote for a woman to be president and commander-in-chief?’”

Scott Jennings Battles Kara Swisher: Didn’t the Ohio Governor Say Foreign Actors Are Behind Bomb Threats?
PHILLIP: “It recently has really gotten out of control. There‘s no ‘they,’ okay? He can be specific, but ‘they’ is sort of a dog whistle to conspiracy theorists.”
SWISHER:” Absolutely. No, that‘s where it begins and ends. And conspiracy theories or sort of at the heart of this. And again, we are part of what‘s happening, and which we do not realize and are being taken advantage of is all these efforts by foreign bodies that are trying to create this within us. And we are so easily — we are so easily manipulated by that. And it‘s really something that we have to do something about, including these recent investigations.”
JENNINGS: “I want to agree with this, actually.”
PHILLIP: “Yeah, we were talking about this yesterday.”
JENNINGS: “I do believe foreign actors are engaged in trying to sow discord.”
SWISHER: “They are.”
JENNINGS: “And it‘s several. And I think it happened this weekend, when everybody sprang to blame Trump and Vance for these Springfield hoaxes, and now we have the governor of Ohio telling us it‘s foreign actors calling this. And I totally agree — “
SWISHER: “No, no, you just twisted something, actually.”
JENNINGS: “Wait. I’m sorry, what?”
SWISHER: “They actually — “
JENNINGS: “What did I twist? Didn’t the governor of Ohio say it or not?”
SWISHER: “Whatever the governor of Ohio said, I‘m not going to put him as an expert on foreign influence. I‘m sorry.”
JENNINGS: “He‘s an expert on the public safety of the state.”
SWISHER: “J.D. Vance literally said, ‘I made it up.’ And that‘s what they did. They took something, they took a conspiracy theory — “
PHILLIP: “I don’t think the story — “
SWISHER: “I know.”
PHILLIP: “The story of what‘s going on in Springfield, Ohio isn‘t the provenance of these calls.”
SWISHER: “It’s not a conspiracy.”
JENNINGS: “It’s not. He‘s literally saying that foreign actors are calling in bomb threats and others — “
SWISHER: “That’s — “
JENNINGS: “I’m trying to agree with you and you won‘t even take it.”
SWISHER: “I won’t take it because you shifted — “
Allison: “He lied. He made it up.”
JENNINGS: “I’m trying — “
Allison: “Can we take one step back. Okay, perhaps — would people even know where Springfield, Ohio was if J.D. Vance hadn‘t made up a rumor about Haitian immigrants eating cats? Like, can we we agree that — “
JENNINGS: “I would. I used to live there. And you’re from there. So we would.”
Allison: “Most Americans. But would we even be talking about it if he hadn‘t started this story?”
PHILLIP: “And also, Scott, I mean, isn‘t — I mean, I think the point that I‘m trying to make is that that part is much more important than whether or not the bomb threats were called in by some 5-year-old — “
JENNINGS: “I think it’s very important.”
PHILLIP: “ — you know, 7-year-old anywhere in America, or a foreign entity.”
JENNINGS: “I think foreign entities are calling into towns in America and scrambling people — that is a major problem.”
PHILLIP: “Yeah, but they wouldn’t be doing that if not for a lie.”
JENNINGS: “I think — to her point, I agree. I think foreign actors — “
SWISHER: “You’re mixing it into something else.”
JENNINGS: “ — are constantly looking for ways to scramble us, I totally agree.”
PHILLIP: “Yeah, I mean, they certainly are, and I guess they‘re getting a lot of fodder in our politics these days.”

Rand Paul on USSS: Why Don’t We Replace the People Who Didn’t Do Their Job, Instead of Giving Them More Money?
BARTIROMO: “Joining me now is Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, a ranking member of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations, Small Business, and Entrepreneurship and Help Committees. Senator, thanks very much for being here. You just heard that about a subpoena from Richard Blumenthal. Should Alejandro Mayorkas be subpoenaed to start giving us some answers on these things which he is overseeing? Not just the wide open border where 10 million illegals have come on his watch, but also overseeing the Secret Service, where we’re getting no information on these assassination attempts.”
Paul: “Well, Secretary Mayorkas has a history of not being very forthcoming. I will say one of the most important things that we’ve asked the Secret Service for was denials of security. So the Trump security detail, Secret Service detail, as well as the Trump campaign for months and months requested more security, and this was denied by the Secret Service. They know it. I’ve asked the director. They’ve looked into it, but they haven’t shared any of it with us. We know that in Butler County was the first time that they had counter snipers there. Thank God. If they had not had the counter snipers there, that shooter would have continued, and Donald Trump would have surely been killed, as well as many more people. He was taken down pretty quickly, but there was a host of errors. He never should have gotten on the roof. They saw him for 90 minutes, but never stopped the proceeding in order to interview him or interdict him. They knew he was on the roof, man on a roof, man on a roof for three minutes. That was broadcast to the control tent, and yet Trump was still not taken from the stage. So the first assassination attempt, error after error after error, but these were errors of willpower, not manpower. Now, like Washington, everything else, somebody fails at their job, you give them more money. No, Why Don’t We replace the people who didn’t do their job and have better people in those positions? With the most recent attack — what kind of security is it that doesn’t sweep a fence?”
BARTIROMO: “It’s unbelievable.”
Paul: “It doesn’t go around and sweep the perimeter. Now, local law enforcement had said if he had been president, there would be sufficient perimeter set up for him. So it is a different type of security. We’re a big country. The Secret Service has lots of people and lots of money. They can provide better service, but it requires more intelligent analysis of what he needs for security.”

Dem Sen. Blumenthal Accuses DHS of ‘Stonewalling’ Trump Assassination Attempt Info: ‘I Will Certainly Support a Subpoena’
BLUMENTHAL: “I am reaching the point of total outrage because the response from the Department of Homeland Security has been totally lacking. In fact, I think it’s tantamount to stonewalling in many respects. (...) If necessary, I’ll certainly support a subpoena.

In March 2024, Springfield City Manager Says He’s Heard of Domesticated Animals ‘Being Taken Advantaged Of’
HECK: “Our laws and culture is 180 degrees different than what they’re used to. And one of the things that I heard, that bothered me very much, I’ve actually had quite a few people contact me here lately, is some pretty horrid things occurring to domesticated animals in the neighborhood. We’ve had some stuff in the park that, again, they are being taken advantage for reasons other than. And if — you shake your head, Brian.”
UNKNOWN: “No, no, I asked if there’s any proof. You just don’t have proof.”
HECK: “People that have confided in me have asked me for anonymity. I can’t give their names up.”
UNKNOWN: “I mean, we haven’ seen the proof that you’re telling me. And I’ve heard about it too.”
HECK: “Yeah.”

Kamala Harris: Haitians in Ohio Don’t Have Secret Service Protection
DANIELS: “Do you have full confidence in the Secret Service to protect all of you?”
Harris: “I do. I do.”
DANIELS: “Do you feel safe for you and your family?”
Harris: “I do. But, I mean, you can go back to Ohio. Not everybody has Secret Service. And there are far too many people in our country right now who are not feeling safe. I mean, I look at Project 2025 and I look at, you know, like the ‘don’t say gay’ laws coming out of Florida. Members of the LGBTQ community don’t feel safe right now. Immigrants or people with an immigrant background don’t feel safe right now. Women don’t feel safe right now. And so, yes, I feel safe. I have Secret Service protection, but that doesn’t change my perspective on the importance of fighting for the safety of everybody in our country.”

Diddy Interviews Obama: When You Want To Be the President of the United States, Call Your Man
COMBS: “When you want to be the president of the United States, you call your man. Call MTV. We’re going to give you a platform. We’re going to give you a way to speak because you on to something, kid. You on to something. You making sense to me. You got me. I am franchised. I’m not disenfranchised no more. We’re going to keep it nonpartisan, but we got to applaud when somebody’s making sense. We’ve been all around, all over, speaking to politicians, and this is what we call real talk. This is what — now y’all understand why we vote? We’re going to edit everybody else’s a** out and just run his [bleep].”
Obama: “I appreciate y’all. Thank you. And I just want to say how much I appreciate Puff Daddy for doing the kinds of work that he’s doing because he doesn’t have to do this. But this is part of what is important about giving back.”
COMBS: “We applaud you. And I want to apologize for not sweating. But I do this so much. I’m so cool. I just want y’all to see, everybody I’m interviewing is sweating. I’m not even touching my brow. I’m so cool. And I want to apologize. I ain’t trying to make you look bad or nothing like that. But I’m just so cool. We —“
Obama: “He got a t-shirt. I tell you, if he was wearing one of those fancy designer clothes he’s designing, he’d be sweating just like me.”
COMBS: “The guy’s good.”

Gov. DeSantis: Not In Best Interest to Have Same Agencies Who Are Prosecuting Trump Leading the Investigation
DeSantis: “In my judgment, it’s not in the best interest of our state or our nation to have the same federal agencies that are seeking to prosecute Donald Trump leading this investigation, especially when the most serious straightforward offense constitutes a violation of state law, but not federal law. In addition to holding the suspect accountable, the public deserves to know the truth about how this assassination came to be.”

Kamala Harris Once Again Repeats Her ‘I Grew Up a Middle-Class Kid’ Story When Asked About What She Will Do to Improve the Economy
Harris: “They can just get their foot in the door to be able to then engage in what will prove to be their opportunity to build intergenerational wealth. And here’s my personal experience coming at that. I grew up a middle-class kid. My mother was hard-working. She raised me and my sister Maya. She saved up and it was only by the time I was a teenager that she could afford to — to actually buy her first home. And I know, and I identify with, I know where I come from.”

Kamala on if People Are Better Off than They Were Four Years Ago: We Came in After the Worst Attack on Democracy
DANIELS: “Are they better off now than they were four years ago?”
Harris: “So when we came into — well, first of all, let me just say it is good to be with the National Association of Black Journalists and I thank you for the work you do and that your members do every day. It is very important that we ensure that this organization and your members always have the resources and the platforms to deliver the voices that must be heard. So I thank you for hosting me today. Four years ago when we came in, we came in during the worst unemployment since the Great Depression. We came in during the worst public health epidemic in centuries. We came in after the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War. And a lot of it due in large part to the mismanagement by the former president, as it relates to Covid and obviously January 6th. And we had then a lot of work to do to clean up a mess. As of today, we have created over 16 million new jobs, over 800,000 new manufacturing jobs. We have the lowest black unemployment rate in generations. We have invested in small businesses and they’re to the benefit of many people but including black small businesses, some of the highest rate of creation of new black small businesses in years.”

Hillary Clinton Calls for Criminal Charges and Civil Penalties Against Americans ‘Engaged’ in Spreading ‘Propaganda’
Clinton: “Just as Mueller indicted a lot of Russians who were engaged in direct election interference and boosting Trump back in 2016, but I also think there are Americans who are engaged in this kind of propaganda. Whether they should be civilly or, in some cases, criminally charged is something that would be a better deterrent.”

2020 Netflix Documentary Footage Shows Taylor Swift Defiantly Telling Her Team She Will Speak out Against Trump and Sen. Blackburn
UNKNOWN MALE: “‘Taylor Swift comes out against Trump.’”
SWIFT: “I don’t care if they write that. I’m sad that I didn’t two years ago, but I can’t change that. I’m saying right now that this is something that I know is right and you guys, I need to be on the right side of history. And if he doesn’t win, at least I tried.”
UNKNOWN MALE: “You know, here’s the problem — “
SWIFT: “I just want to read you what I wrote and I’m going to try to start — I just really want you to know that this is important to me and this is something — “
UNKNOWN FEMALE: “Have you heard her — “
UNKNOWN MALE: “Yes, I read the entire thing. And the bottom line right now, I’m terrified of it. I’m the guy that went out and bought armored cars.”
UNKNOWN FEMALE: “I worry for her safety as much as anybody does, maybe more.”
SWIFT: “It really is a big deal. She votes against — against fair pay for women. She votes against the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which is just basically protecting us for domestic abuse and stalking. Stalking! She votes — she thinks that that if you’re a gay couple or even if you look like a gay couple, you should be allowed to be kicked out of a restaurant. It’s really basic human rights and it’s right and wrong at this point, and I can’t see another commercial and see her disguising these policies behind the words ‘Tennessee Christian values.’ Those aren’t Tennessee Christian values. I live in Tennessee. I am Christian. That’s not what we stand for. I need to do this. I need you to just — dad, I need you to forgive me for doing it, because I’m doing it.”
