MZTV 1669: Peter’s End-Time Timetable

Peter lays it all out for his readers in the last chapter of his last letter, explaining, first of all, that there will be scoffers who will cast doubt upon the hearts of those waiting for the return of Christ. We have scoffers in the body of Christ today as well who mock us for hoping for the soon return of our Lord. But Peter squashes them with a single pronouncement­—and their little buzz-killing descendants too.

Peter’s pronouncement (referenced above) leads to a second pronouncement, the second to a third, and before long we are treated to one of the most detailed expositions on how Man’s Day turns into the Lord’s Day, and how the Lord’s Day turns into God’s day.

Beats the hell out of Wednesday.
