Kimmel Asks Ringo Starr Who’s Not an American Citizen if He’s ‘Worried at All’: ‘Why Would I Be Worried?’

KIMMEL: “Thank you for coming back. It’s great to have you here. How are you?”
STARR: “I’m doing really good, thank you.”
KIMMEL: “Are you an American citizen?”
STARR: “No.”
KIMMEL: “You are not?”
(Laughter)
STARR: “Can’t you tell by my accent?”
KIMMEL: “Are you worried at all?”
STARR: “No.”
KIMMEL: “You’re not? Why not?”
STARR: “Why would I be worried?”
KIMMEL: “You know, they’re knocking on doors.”
(Laughter)
STARR: “I’ll come to you, and you can save me.”
KIMMEL: “I will be — I’ll throw my body right over you, believe me.
(Laughter)
What year did you move to Los Angeles?”
STARR: “Well, I’ve had a house here since ’76.”
KIMMEL: “Okay.”
STARR: “And — several houses, not the same house.”
KIMMEL: “Right.”
STARR: “And the house we’re in now we’ve had since 1992. And we actually brought the suitcases and left them here in 2015.”
KIMMEL: “Oh, really? Okay, all right.”
STARR: “Yeah, ‘cause we lived in three different countries for the long time.”
