RUSH TRANSCRIPT:
Scott: “This deportation program is certainly going to cost millions, probably billions of dollars to raid and locate and remove some of these people, is that going to take special appropriations from Congress?”
ROUNDS: “We are expecting that 3D appropriations process will be able to handle what those costs are, some of which may be included in the original first bill that comes out and I know that right now there is a discussion about whether we will have one bill or two bills up here, the process doesn’t matter to us, we just know that we’ve got to accomplish this for the American people. The president is keeping his promise and we fully intend to be able to provide him with the resources necessary to be able to get the job done. That’s our job and we are looking forward to it. The president has already hit the ground running and he’s brought in great cabinet nominees and working their way through the process and he’s way ahead of where he was eight years ago in terms of getting the paperwork and giving individuals in front of our committees and getting them through a process which while there is redtape involved, they are still moving forward at a good pace. We had Pete Hegseth, I thought he did a really good job and we hope we should have, we will get him to the floor of the Senate very quickly. Marco Rubio is well on his way to getting approval and may be the first one through the process but we have had very good open hearings, public hearings, and John Radcliffe who will be the director of the CIA, I thought he did a great job in his open hearing and did an even better job in a closed hearing. So, I think we are really off and running. I think the president has done a very good job on his cabinet picks.”
