BARTIROMO: “The further we’ll all go. Maria: California severe housing crisis further devastated by the deadly wildfires that ripped through L.A. county. More than 12000 homes and other buildings have been completely destroyed. My next guest is rebuilding will take years admired by challenges with regulation and a lack of insurance joining me now national association of home voters and CEO and president James tobin and thank you for being here. Tell us about the rebuild what are you expecting.”

TOBIN: “A long haul for those people would been displaced and lost their homes. It’s very, located process to rebuild after a wildfire much different than building a new subdivision and certainly different than recovering from a hurricane or tornado, complete losses of structure. The pace of this, we have to contain the fire, were not even there yet but you’re talking large debris fields of toxic debris has to be cleared fully away and then you have to deal with the individual insurance policies for each individual policy that can take 6 - 8 months and then hire a builder and build a home at the pace of California construction you’re looking at six months at best but probably 18 months to two years before you will fully rebuild. We are talking years, not months when it comes to recovery of those homes in California.”
