Moonrise (1948)

Directed by Frank Borzage and starring Dane Clark and Gail Russell. The story follows Danny Hawkins, a troubled young man tormented by the shadow of his father's execution for murder. Haunted by childhood bullying and feelings of inherited guilt, Danny becomes entangled in violence when he kills a tormentor in self-defense.
