Danish author and translator Povl Heinrich Riis-Knudsen is traveling in Russia with his Russian wife Valentina. They left Moscow on March 20, 2022 and visited many villages, towns and several regions of Russia over 40 days. This included a visit to Izhevsk, the capital of Udmurtia. In particular, they visited the museum dedicated to the famous weapons designer Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov. And on April 24, 2022, they came to M.T. Kalashnikov's small homeland - to the village of Kurya in the Kurya district of the Altai Territory. There they visited the Kalashnikov Museum and Pavel's (Povl Heinrich) wife took photos and video material for this video report. Pavel and Valentina see it as their mission in these difficult days for Russia and the world (with megatons of lies pouring down on Russia from Western and American media) to tell their friends in Denmark and other countries in the world the truth about Russia and Russians. They show Russia as they see it with loving eyes.

P.S. Opposite the museum there is an amazing church dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God “The Sign”. After the October Revolution in Russia, this temple was transformed by the communists into a club for young people. Movies were shown and dances were held for young people. After that, the temple stood for a long time half destroyed. And only in 2013 it was restored (raised from the ruins). The main bell in the church bell tower was financed by Anatoly Timofeyevich Kalashnikov.
