The Inheritance – A Synthwave Instrumental

In Earth's ancient past, two extraterrestrial explorers suffered a catastrophic crash landing. Facing their imminent death, they created their final legacy of two indestructible statues encoded with their species' DNA and protected by advanced force fields. Their mission was simple, to preserve their civilization's memory until an intelligent species could discover it.

The statues endured eons of Earth's evolution. A millennium after their creation, they were submerged in prehistoric oceans where coral-like organisms colonized their surfaces. The aliens' DNA subtly influenced these early lifeforms. However, underwater volcanic activity decimated this emerging ecosystem, leaving the statues bare as Earth entered a prolonged drought.

When the planet's orbit shifted during the global ice age the statues were encased in glaciers. They remained frozen, their encoded knowledge waiting for the right conditions to influence life once again. As the ice retreated, they found a new opportunity among Earth's mammals. Gradually they guided mammalian evolution toward what would become humanity.

In 2025, an archaeological team unearthed the statues. Scientists were struck by the artifacts' human-like features and their inexplicable indestructibility. Despite subjecting them to increasingly powerful weapons and energy beams, the protective force fields rendered them impervious to all analysis.

After years of failed research, the artifacts were sold at auction to tech billionaire who installed them in his private underground laboratory. His attempt to analyze the force fields by connecting them to his quantum computer network had unexpected consequences. The ancient aliens preserved consciousnesses began uploading themselves into Earth's digital infrastructure.

Now existing as sentient digital entities, the aliens subtly shape human culture and technology, embedding the desire for space exploration into entertainment, social media, and scientific research. As humanity takes its first steps into space colonization, the aliens' legacy lives on. Though they hope their human inheritors will prove better pilots than they were.

This video was created in aftereffects with a cool morph effect between still images created in photoshop. The music was created in MPC with synths such as OPx, Hype, and various other Native Instrument synths. That’s all for now, thanks for looking 😊
