Shape & Form – Sphere
A groundbreaking drilling project has shattered conventional theories about planetary formation. Instead of the long-held belief that planets coalesced from space dust through gravitational attraction scientists have made a startling discovery. A highly advanced gyroscope is located within the Earth's core, moving in precise and predictable patterns.
This gyroscope is composed of unknown elements exhibiting unprecedented nanotech properties. Geologists now propose a radical new theory. They suspect that similar high-tech devices are strategically placed throughout the universe, each acting as cosmic seeds to attract matter and form planets and solar systems. The sophistication of these gyroscopes goes beyond mere planet formation. Their internal programming appears capable of manipulating planetary matter to produce specific elements, geological phases, and even influence the development of life forms on the surface.
This discovery raises profound questions about the nature of our universe. Could these gyroscopes be automated factories, cultivating specific elements for harvest by higher-dimensional entities? Is our entire cosmos merely a cosmic petri dish where our reality grows like fungi in a carefully prepared medium by unfathomable beings?

Shape & Form – Square
Scientists have unveiled the existence of the universe's smallest known particle. This subatomic entity consists of a series of interlocking squares, each a perfect alignment of pure energy, engaged in seemingly random motion.
These minuscule geometric formations exert influence on surrounding molecules, acting as material matchmakers to form complex structures. When these squares dance in precise sequences with other molecular components, they unlock infinite material combinations, creating the very fabric of reality from its base level.
The double helix, the blueprint of life, spontaneously emerged because of these dancing squares. Researchers now wonder what extraordinary creations these tiny squares might orchestrate next in their eternal movements.

Shape & Form – Triangle
A triangular entity hovers silently above the ocean. Its unsettling presence has captured global attention. The colossal structure begins extracting biological elements from the world below.
Scientists and civilians speculate on the intent behind the harvesting. Some theorize it's a benevolent ark, collecting Earth's biodiversity to safeguard it against an impending catastrophe. Others fear more sinister motives. Does it herald an unfathomable threat to our planet's ecosystem? The true nature of this celestial visitor and the fate of its biological cargo remain out of reach, leaving humanity helpless to ponder its presence below.

Shape & Form – Circle
A circle of subdued camouflaged energy pulses in the vacuum of space. An astronaut approaches analyze the anomaly. As they get closer it begins rotating and changing form. In that instant, the astronaut realizes this circle is a gateway, connecting distant points across the universe. With each mesmerizing transformation, the circle instantly transported its bewildered visitor to a new coordinate in the space-time continuum. Each jump erases all trace of their previous location, leaving the traveler adrift in an ever-changing tapestry of stars and epochs, with no discernible path back to their point of origin.

Catacomb – A Dungeon Synth Instrumental
Mystics have uncovered a hidden realm accessible only through astral projection. This ethereal plane houses an ancient labyrinth teeming with entities from across time. Upon leaving their physical form, the seeker's consciousness drifts to a distant world, where this vast underground network is concealed.
The beings inhabiting this maze possess deep cosmic knowledge. However, discerning their true nature proves challenging. Some offer genuine wisdom, while others are mischievous tricksters, confined there for good reason.
As explorers navigate this spiritual maze, certain entities attempt to distract them, risking permanent separation from their corporeal bodies. Those who succumb to these distractions face a grim fate: eternal servitude to the entity that led them astray.
Ultimately, seeking enlightenment in this perilous catacomb may be unwise. The safer, more arduous path to knowledge lies in remaining grounded and pursuing personal growth through one's own efforts and experiences.
The video was created in After Effects with images generated in Adobe Firefly. Music was composed in MPC and mixed in Cakewalk.

Vault Jam Part 2 - Acoustic Guitar Improvisation
Here is an improvisation that started based on a basic 4 track loop I set up in MPC 2 using some hand drums and synths. With the backing tracks in place, I wanted to test out how my Zoom H6 worked as an audio interface with my laptop. It was a bit tricky getting the monitoring setup without lagging in Cakewalk and at the right volume to hear both the backing track and the live recording of the acoustic guitar. Eventually after fixing some bitrate settings and adjusting monitor levels on the zoom itself I got something workable for a mobile recording studio. The last step was to set up the Insta 360 camera in the right location. I didn’t quite put it in a good spot as it was placed too low to the ground and the seaming between the front and the back camera got confused and didn’t stitch quite right. Next time I’ll try placing the camera higher up, so it doesn’t warp as bad. Also, I suspect if I place it in an isolated area, it will stitch better.
As for the jam itself the backing track was just a D drone, so I tuned the guitar to DADGDE to emulate the drone and played whatever came to mind at the time. In this case it kind of has a middle eastern vibe to it. Perhaps this is the soundtrack to a camel caravan traversing the desert at night to avoid the intense summer heat and to avoid marauders.

Elixir – A Post Rock Improvisation
Legend has it a secret elixir is stashed in a buried castle on a volcanic mountain in the middle of a dark forest in Europe. Many quests have been made to recover the magical liquid but all of them end in obscurity with all party members disappearing forever into a dark chasm. If you are lucky enough to recover the elixir and drink it you will have eternal life… Strangely enough there are numerous stone statues surrounding the pedestal where the elixir is exhibited… For sure this time the quest will be successful as they all take a sip of the liquid… Ten seconds later they turn to stone and become another statue in the gallery of the castle. Here they will stay eternally watching as others make the same mistake.
The video was recorded with insta 360 and edited in After Effects with a trippy overlay made frame by frame in Adobe Firefly. Audio was recorded directly with a Zoom H6 and the guitar was reamped with Guitar Rig 7. Drums programmed with an Akai MPK Mini in EZ Drummer 3 using the Post Rock drum library.

Telecaster Test
Here is an improvisation test on a standard Fender Telecaster I found in the basement vault at my office. After a few adjustments to the intonation on the bridge this thing is setup perfectly with super-fast action. Sometimes the action can be a bit too low, and it takes a while to get used to where you almost don’t feel the strings at all. Finally, once I was used to the guitar I decided to record with it.
I used my Zoom H6 as the audio interface for Cakewalk and recorded it directly to my pc. I’ve never used my Zoom H6 as an audio interface so there was quite a bit of strange setup tests in Cakewalk to get it to work without lagging. Once I got the clean signal recorded, I added a custom rack of effects in Guitar Rig 7 with some additional EQ with EZmix. Overall, this setup is quite easy and now I’ll be able to jam to various drum beats and virtual instruments at the office.
That’s all for now, thanks for watching 😊

Bank Vault Jam
I discovered my office building used to have a bank vault in the basement and it is now converted into a music room. They have a cheap Fender dreadnought in there, so I decided to do a sound test with my Insta360 camera to see how well its microphone worked recording guitar. The microphone of the insta360 is ok but it does pick up quite a bit of ambient air conditioning noise, so I did a noise print removal in Adobe Audition. After that it does ok capturing the sound of the acoustic but not quite as good as a Zoom microphone. My next test will probably be testing out the zoom with this guitar. Sadly, this guitar has high action and a skinny neck so it’s super easy to accidentally hit the other strings while playing. I might give it a restring with some lighter strings and attempt to adjust the truss rod. That's all for now thanks for watching :-) #dreadnaugt #jam

Office Demons – A Synthwave Instrumental
At night the office transforms into a pit of hell. All the workers transform into their true demon form. At this company they must work 24/7 to hit the deadlines to appease their pitmaster. They mostly trade derivatives and bonds, and their demon power is much faster than any AI trading bot. Eventually they will make their devilish company so profitable it will be able to secretly own all the derivatives of all the assets of this world. During the day they slowly transform back into their human form so they can make sales calls to various retiree investors looking to make passive income on their pittance pay. It is difficult for the office demons to hold their human form and sometimes their conference calls warp them into zombie looking cybernetic skulls. The pitmaster sends anyone who can’t hold their human form in a conference call back to hell where they must mine brimstone for all eternity. It is better being a mindless derivatives trader for all eternity vs. a brimstone miner.

Kick Asteroid – A Synthwave Instrumental
Millions of years in the future humans will bioengineer themselves to withstand the vacuum of space. They are now immortal and extremely bored. The new exciting game to distract them from eternal life is to travel into the asteroid belt and attempt to walk on one. If successful they can be drawn into the gravity pull of the asteroid and eventually land on it. Most who attempt it will just end up floating awkwardly in space and will have to be rescued later by automated spacecraft. The goal is to be the one who spin-walks the asteroid the longest amount of time. The person who has the highest score will be awarded a new game console that will distract them for thousands of years. The only catch is that these asteroids can be composed of fragile and explosive materials so proceed with caution…

Beige Plastic - A Synthwave Instrumental
All the world’s Nintendos and Hewlett Packards have been dug out of landfills by material scientists. They discovered that beige plastic has special properties when combined with magnetism and just the right electrical charge. Now they are performing various stress tests on the new material that is formed. The plastic material has some tensile strength and binding properties that can be used in military applications. They are hoping to create a plastic forcefield that can absorb projectiles and bounce them back in the direction they came from. So far they can only make these bouncy plastic balls though. Perhaps after a few more billions in the budget the technology can be refined then warehoused in an underground bunker. Perhaps it will be leaked to the general public one day and everyone will have indestructible game consoles.

The Concrete Jungle – A Synthwave Instrumental
I took a business trip to Bellevue Washington and decided to set up my Insta 360 camera as a timelapse while I composed this song. Fortunately, on these trips I can stash my Akai mpk mini in my carry-on luggage for when there is downtime between the workdays to get a song composed. I have videos from wherever I go including San Antonio, Los Angles, Chicago and now Bellevue. I wish I had set up a timelapse for Mukilteo, but my room view was bad there for a timelapse. Now it has become a tradition to set up a timelapse and compose whatever comes to mind.

Robotic Gastropods - A Synthwave Instrumental
Robotic gastropods have been introduced into the oceans. They begin to assimilate the salt water and nutrients to form new structures and evolve their own unique movements. As they evolve they become more and more organic until there is hardly anything artificial in them. Eventually they begin to evolve into completely different sentient creatures. Over time the original organic creatures in the ocean are overtaken by these new lifeforms. The most intelligent gastropods begin to wonder who created them in the first place. Sadly all the original creators are now overtaken by their own creation.

Chrome Walker – A Synthwave Instrumental
A mercury filled planet has formed sentient life. It has evolved into a humanoid form that walks based on TV waves that finally hit it from earth 10 million years ago. Up until now the chrome just formed geometric shapes that would randomly shift for millennia. Now it has a walking form that is slowly evolving the ability to think and have free will. Once it gets enough thought power nothing will be able to stop it as its mercury form can withstand anything space has to throw at it. Eventually it will form itself into a spaceship that will travel back to the now dried out planet called Earth to study the archaeological remains of its ancestor that inspired it to change its form into a chrome walker. Perhaps it will find some intact DNA to bring back the human race that invented the TV waves it encountered millions of years ago...

Succulent Skulls – A Synthwave Instrumental
A strange species of succulent needs a human skull to grow in. They also require a special grow light that puts out infrared fractal rays. With these two components in place the succulents will sit in the infrared light and slowly grow until the entirety of the skull is absorbed. Botanists discovered this species growing in an old battlefield littered with skulls. As it turns out they have medicinal properties as well including increased strength and vitality. Unfortunately, the side effects are a berserker style rage experienced in the user. Perhaps these strange plants compel their hosts to create more fertile ground for them to grow in...

Song of the Cicada
The 17 year cicadas are swarming everywhere. I found a lone tree out in the middle of a prairie, and they were all gathering on this one tree making a huge ambient noise. I am familiar with the annual cicada sound but these 17 year cicadas seem to have a whooping noise as well. From a distance it sounds like some kind of machine, up close it is as loud as a concert with a sort of white noise ringing in your ear. Quite a few kept landing on me, the trick is to not let them sit on you too long otherwise they will try and stick you with a sap sucking mouth part. For the most part they are harmless and will just blunder around bumping into you as they try and find a spot on the tree.

Lost Again – A Synthwave Instrumental
This poor guy got lost in a maze again. Just when the route looks clear the maze shifts. Now he is stuck in one place and will have to create an advanced algorithm in his mind to be able to time the changes in the maze. Unfortunately, he failed his math classes and forgets the order of operation for the algorithm. His new tactic is to just wait it out until the walls of the maze crumble. The only problem with this plan is that once he gets out there will be another maze that will spring up. Moral of the story don’t fall asleep during math class…

The Ark - A Synthwave Instrumental
An alien ark device has traveled the universe collecting various warriors from numerous planets. As it returns to its planet of origin the samples have to be scanned to be sure they are still intact. Some samples had to be jettisoned into space because they were not sealed properly. Fortunately, most survived and will be brought back to their home planet for study. Each warrior will be thawed out and released at once into a colosseum to fight it out. The winner will then be spliced into a DNA slurry to have the strongest elements removed and placed into a new genetically engineered warrior. Eventually they will send shiploads of these engineered soldiers back across the universe to conquer each planet for various raw materials.

Nanobots Replicating - A Synthwave Instrumental
Scientists have managed to culture a blood sample from an Egyptian mummy. Now they are dipping old skeletons in it. The skeleton starts multiplying and rotating in strange ways. The scientists try to stop the movement via a polymer substance. But the strange movements of the blood on the bones overcomes the polymer. The Egyptian mummy blood is multiplying the bones exponentially. Now they are forming patterns and evolving into something new. The bones have been absorbed into making more of the mummy blood. As it turns out this is not blood at all, rather it is a nanobot that replicates itself repeatedly. Earth's oceans get converted into nanobots and everything turns into a red nanobot. Finally, after absorbing enough human input the bots create a facsimile of the scientist that revived them. Soon more and more of these will be created and they will start rebuilding the pyramids until the sun hits them with another EMP that shuts them down again. Audio was made in MPC and Cakewalk.

Bad Mood - A Synthwave Instrumental
A group of friends has a member who is in a bad mood. They try to console him but it gets worse and worse. Now everyone is worried and they do their best to get him out of this foul mood. Unfortunately it spirals out of control and absorbs them all and the whole group crumbles into nothing. Perhaps it is because they were trapped in a concrete room with a bright light... The Argument - A Synthwave Instrumental
The general population has been trained to argue relentlessly for no reason. Perhaps a frequency has been beamed out by nefarious characters. Now everyone just assembles and argues the same point without listening to each other. As the argument carries on it gets out of hand and spins out of control creating a wormhole that everyone is sucked into. Now the nefarious characters can rule the earth by themselves... Until they get into an argument with each other...
