Fetterman Jokes About His Upcoming Meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago: ‘I Demand I Be Named Pope of Greenland’

Fetterman: “Yeah?”
Reporter 1: “Can we ask, what do you hope to get out of your visit to Mar-a-Lago to talk to Donald Trump?”
Fetterman: “What are we talking about here? (Laughs) Is there some news?”
Reporter 1: “There’s some news. We hear that you’re gonna be heading down to Mar-a-Lago.”
Fetterman: “Yeah, I’ve heard that. Yes, I’ve heard that, yeah.”
Reporter 2: “What will you be discussing with the president?”
Fetterman: “Well, yeah, I demand that I need to be made Pope of Greenland.”
Reporter 1: “Are you — do you have the resume to be pope?”
Fetterman: “I’m having a conversation. Like, he’s the president and it’s gonna be — so, you know, I am not the senator for just Democrats in Pennsylvania, I’m everyone’s senator in Pennsylvania. And so it’s just having a conversation with the president. Today I’m gonna vote on the Laken bill, and I was a co-sponsor of that.”
