Jenkins: “Good morning, Tom. Obviously the individual Shamsub Din Jabbar was a U.S. citizen. There are threats coming across our border. But first I want to just get your reaction as someone coming into the administration that will protect our nation. Your reaction to the New Orleans attack.”
HOMAN: “Well, look I said yesterday. Well, I think we’re going to find out after the investigation. I think you’ll have two U.S. citizens, I’m talking about Las Vegas and New Orleans. I think you’ll have two U.S. citizens with prior military experience. I think you’re going to find they both had recent foreign travel. They both were inspired by ISIS. I think they’re both on a suicide mission. I think both of these incidents, these men knew they weren’t going home. So this is just another danger this country faces because this country’s been lax on national security and the groups like this have been emboldened. I mean when you got no protesters walking down the streets in New York City carrying terrorist flags chanting death to Israel and death to United States and nothing’s being done about it, when you have a border that was secure and a President Trump and this administration unsecured on purpose, it’s a — it’s a — it’s open invitation for those around the world that hate this country.”
