"I started to really listen to my thoughts at 25. Every single thought that didn't serve my higher purpose I visualized a black cord, and cut it, let black spew flow out, and then reattached a red cord of loving affirmation. Every single thought. I did this for a couple years.
In 2008, Eckhart Tolle and Oprah put out a podcast for Eckhart's book, "A New Earth". I started watching and got through the first one and a half episodes, and then I stopped and started writing. In my mind at 27, Eckhart was talking in such celestial terms that I didn't think people would actually apply themselves to get the awareness level he was talking about. So, I hand wrote an outline, the book, and typed it up in 13 days. I revised it a few times, put an 800-question workbook into in, then took it out because I felt it was too overwhelming, then sent it off to literary agents. I was 28. I had a couple companies interested but I don't have college degree, and I wasn’t accredited. So, I put the book away for years.
In November of 2018, the day I pulled my book out I was meeting with some ladies about joining their group. I felt compelled to share about my book, and why I wrote it. Years before I didn't tell anyone about the Eckhart, Oprah connection because I wanted it to stand on its own, but I was so unattached to that in this moment I shared the whole story. One of the ladies turned to Cinda Stevens Lonsway and said, you have to tell her. Cinda wrote Eckhart with a bunch of questions, and she started talking about it. Back in 2008 there was a couple dozen people chosen to be on the first podcast, Cinda was one of them. The reason and intention of why I wrote the book was to help answer the questions that were being asked. That day I knew I had to refocus and get back aligned to share this beautiful information.
