MZTV 1640: These New Year's Celebrants Are All Hiding Something

No amount of confetti can paper over the longing within humans to connect with their Maker. This is a void placed by God within all of us. I am sympathetic to anyone looking to meet God and to leave this earth—even if they are Christians.

The excitements or riches of this world do not keep us from being disposed to the lowly and humble—not even if we are tasting some of those excitements and riches ourselves. Our apostle Paul had to learn to be abased AND to super-abound. Isn't it fascinating that would would have to ACCUSTOM oneself to things going well? So it is when our steady diet in this life has been failure and disappointment.

Things will REALLY go well for us after the snatching away. But even then we, like our God, will still be disposed to the broken in spirit who yet need God.
