5th In our series the Epistle of Paul to the Ephesians

I. Honor within the Family Government
* A. The Fifth Commandment
* 1. This commandment is the best for everyone at every age
* 2. The commandment is life long, there is no time when we are allowed to dishonor our parents
* B. The command to honor the aged - Leviticus 19:32 

II. What God Says about the Value of human beings - Ephesians 1:3-5
* A. Those “in Christ” live to honor, praise and worship the Most High God - Psalm 104:33
* B. The Mystery of God’s eternal plan regarding human beings
* 1. What does it mean that God chose us?
* a. The time frame is before Creation
* b. We existed in the mind of God before anything was made in this universe
* 2. God’s eternal nature as Omniscient and Omnipresent means that He is not bound by time
* a. God created time - Genesis 1:1
* b. God transcends time, He is continuously in the past, the present and the future all at once
* 3. God’s grace in salvation - Romans 8:28-30
* a. He foreknows those who will truly repent, believe and receive - parable of the 4 soils
* b. Predestination is His goal for those who are in Christ, to be fully like Christ in character
* c. The calling, justification and glorification follow
* C. The finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross expressed the full valuation God has towards every human born - 2 Peter 3:9 
* 1. In Christ we are highly valued by God
* 2. We should value one another as Christ does us
