A B-17E bomber, nicknamed "Old 666" due to its tail number ending in 666, earned a reputation as an unlucky aircraft, plagued by accidents and mishaps. It was even stripped for spare parts at one point. However, Captain Jay Zeamer took charge of the plane, made critical modifications, and transformed it into a formidable machine. These changes proved so effective that the aircraft withstood an intense onslaught by numerous enemy fighters without being brought down.
